The surgery was successful.
I woke up, and everyone’s attitude had
changed.
They were all in my room.
It was a lot different than before the surgery.
Dad told me he’d bought me the piano I’d
always wanted.
He’d also found the best doctor to fix my
hands.
Ashley said she’d cleaned up my room at
home and put everything back the way it was.
She could even take pictures with me and
post them online.
I’d asked her to help me with that so many
times, but she wouldn’t.

Mom cooked my favorite food.
Emily wasn’t with Brandon anymore.
She just stayed with me.
They wanted me to be like I was before.
They said I didn’t have to be good.
They’d always be there for me!
Everyone looked at me.
This was the scene I always dreamed about.
Now, I just smiled.
Not all sudden realizations deserve
forgiveness.
