Chapter 106 No Escape

stunned. Could this actually be something Easton would say? Had his conscience finally kicked in?
She eyed Easton skeptically as he approached her, but then he wrapped his arms around her waist, his tone mocking yet serious, “There’s no one at home to point fingers or interfere, which makes it a perfect place to keep you as long as I want. I’m taking you home now.”
Hearing this, Ellis struggled fiercely.
She seriously wondered if Easton had gone mad! It’ho does this? It must be his revenge, right? I only slapped Victoria and yelled at him a bit, and he wants to lock me up?
During her struggle, she found herself lifted off her feet, disoriented. It turned out Easton had picked her up horizontally, making it impossible for her to fight back..
As Easton carried Ellis away, Carly, after a moment of shock, hurried after them, “Easton, put Ellis down.”
Easton ignored her, and with a look, someone blocked Carly from following.
Carly frowned at the person stopping her. “You….”
“Sorry, Ms. Carly, we’re just following Mr. Hudson’s orders.”
The manor was indeed Scott’s retirement spot, but Easton was the authority of the Hudson family.
At the manor, Easton’s word was law, and the staff knew well who held the real power. Carly’s status was far below Easton’s; unless Easton spoke up, Carly’s commands were secondary. Once Easton gave an order, nothing Carly said mattered.
With Easton and Ellis’s figures disappearing on the eighth floor, Carly couldn’t help but worry for Ellis. praying that Easton wouldn’t do anything drastic to harm her.
Contrary to Carly’s prayers, Ellis, forcibly stuffed into the car by Easton, took advantage of him not yet settling in to start flailing her arms rhythmically, her fists landing on him as she cursed, “You psycho, you freak!”
Acting on impulse is the devil’s work, and that saying couldn’t be more accurate. Right now, controlled by her rage, she didn’t care if Easton hit back.
First let off some steam, then worry. The confined space of the car didn’t allow for much movement, but Ellis found it satisfying nonetheless.
However, she soon realized something was off. Easton didn’t retaliate but his gaze, intense and seemingly meaningful, as if silently warning her of what was to come after they got out of the car, made her uneasy.
It was like a king of the jungle watching its prey struggle before the end.
She wasn’t scared, and only stopped hitting him when she felt she had enough.
The driver had already raised the partition, and it was just her and him in the back of the car.
She finally stopped, and Easton maintained his demeanor, making her skin crawl.
Chapter 106 No Escape

Easton suddenly commented on her fighting ability,
Ellis want to blind him or knock him out.
“Tell the driver to stop; I want to get out!” she demanded fiercely
Unbeknownst to her, no matter how ferocious she seemed, in Easton’s eyes, she was just a clawing kitten, hardly a threat,
“Seule down,” he said, looking out the window.
“Settle down? Not a chancel”
“Then jump out of the car; see if it kills you or just cripples you.”
Struggling was futile, and Ellis glared at Easton next to her for a while before also turning to look out the
window.
The car fell silent as Ellis calmed down, but Easton’s mind was far from quiet.
Perhaps the chaos of the evening had messed up his thoughts, leading him to dwell on the warnings about another man to marry that his grandfather, Carly, and she had all mentioned.
The more he thought, the worse his mood became, adding to his gloom. When the car stopped in front of the house he hadn’t entered in nearly two months, Ellis felt irritable.
Who knew how many times Victoria might have been here? Now to be locked up by Easton here was utterly repulsive. Just imagining Easton and Victoria being intimate was enough to make her want to throw up
So, she clung to the back of the seat, trying not to leave the car.
But Easton simply carried her inside. The butler, just finishing his duties in the main building and heading back to his quarters, was surprised to see a young couple passing by.
Eastib carried Ellis like an object, quite a shocking sight.
Ellis‘ head hung down, her long curly hair obscuring her face, but not stopping her from loudly hitting and yelling at Easton, “You psycho, you freak, put me down!”
Recognizing Ellis’s voice, the butler realized it was her.
He had just delivered Ellis and Easton’s marriage certificate to the Civil Affairs Department last week. Hadn’t they divorced that day? Why are they still entangled?
Curiously, the butler watched as Easton carried Ellis into the elevator.
Being upside down for even a few minutes made blood rush to her head, and when Easton roughly set her down on the bed, Ellis was dizzy and disoriented.

“It’s getting late; wash up, go to sleep?”
In her dizziness, she heard Easton’s words and struggled to sit up from the bed.
