His tone was cold and sharp as he said, “Drop the innocent act. If you’re trying to deny it, don’t bother. I have the video of you hitting ElliK!”
“I… I did hit Ellis, Easton…” Victoria stammered on purpose, sniffing a few times as if she were crying, trying to paint herself as the victim. “But don’t you remember? Ellis slapped me in your office last time.”
“She slapped you once, and you just have to beat her to near death?”
