“I heard someone was messing with you…”
“You got yourself a girlfriend?”
The guy with the tattoos on his arms stopped,
and looked at me.
“It’s the first time I’ve seen a girl like this
here…”
He blushed.
He stood in front of me.
“Thanks, but it’s already handled. We can get
drinks some other time.”

He rubbed his head and pulled him to the
side. “You can’t see? Go away.”

I could hear them talking, even though they
were trying to be quiet.
To ease the tension, I acted busy, and kept
looking around.
After a few minutes, he left.
Then he asked me, “Where do you live? I’ll
take you back.”
I didn’t want to leave.
My parents were always working, and they
wouldn’t notice if I stayed somewhere else.
Chad probably got reincarnated.
He was probably with Tiffany right now.
We were married for seven years, but he
never let me come to any events, and never
slept in the same room.

I just wanted to leave him in the past.
I asked him, “Can I stay here for a few days?”
