Chapter 9
“The wedding is next week. We can still
<
cancel it.”
“Wait,” I rubbed my temples. “Why cancel?”
“Didn’t you…regain your memory?”
He pursed his lips. “If you want to go to
Garrett, I won’t stop you.”
“Garrett?” I scoffed. “I am going to him.”
“But to settle the score.”
The next day, I stormed into Garrett’s
entertainment company.
The receptionist, seeing my identity, paled,
asking me to wait.
Garrett arrived, surprised.
“You’re looking for me? Did you remember
something?”
I nodded. “I remembered.”
“That I have scores to settle.”
“Get Bailey here!”
I timed it perfectly. Bailey was at the
company.
Before my memory loss, I’d been unwell due
to cyberbullying and illness.
It let Bailey get away with things for too long.
Garrett hesitated. “Actually, there’s nothing
between us. Don’t be angry.”
“Those photos were staged. Bailey acted with
- me. I was just angry that you broke up
me.”
I laughed.
“Garrett, you don’t think I was jealous
because I liked you, do you?”
Seeing my anger, he was speechless.
“Fine, I’ll get Bailey.”
Bailey arrived, calm and collected.
“Senior Lin, why are you here? And Garrett……”
Before she finished, a sound echoed.
I smiled coldly.
Bailey froze. She hadn’t expected me to slap
her.
“You dare hit me?”
Her eyes widened.
L
I sneered. “I did!”
“Were you the one who hired internet trolls to
spread rumors that I bullied you in college?”
“Fine. I’m bullying you right now. What do you
have to say?”
Tears welled in Bailey’s eyes. She looked to
Garrett pitifully.
He stood there, frowning.
“Is what Lin Raina said true?”
“I didn’t do anything,” Bailey sobbed. “Garrett,
you know what kind of person I am.”
Garrett looked at me, frowning. “Raina, are
you mistaken?”
“Mistaken?” I laughed, turning to Bailey. “Do
you think your little tricks are invisible?”
Bailey’s face froze. She forced a laugh. “What
are you talking about?”
I showed her my phone. Three trending
topics, all about Bailey.
Trending #1: Bailey, haha.
L
Bailey clicked on it. The top post was from a
netizen.
“I’m exposing actress Bailey for interfering in
my relationship with her boyfriend. I have
pictures and evidence.”
The netizen detailed everything, even posting
chat logs and photos of Bailey, compiling it
into a presentation.
After regaining my memory, I logged into my
old Weibo account.
Seeing the abusive messages, I was unfazed.
I found a message from a girl who
encouraged me, saying many of my
classmates disliked Bailey.
She knew Bailey had broken up Garrett and
- me.
Bailey had done the same to her and her
boyfriend.
The girl agreed to expose Bailey to clear my
name.
I promised to protect her privacy.
