system glitch. They sat there with their birth
certificates, waiting.
Ethan played with his phone, his mind
wandering.
Just then, he received a call from Andrew, his
body stiffening.

was incredibly agitated: “Sarah’s gone! All her
things are gone!”
Hearing this, all the strength seemed to drain
from Ethan’s body.
Hanging up the phone, he silently looked at the message Sarah had sent him.
Vivian, standing next to him, also overheard
the gist of it, grabbing his hand and laughing:
“Ethan, don’t worry, she’s probably just
throwing a tantrum because she can’t accept
that we’re getting married.”
“Or maybe she has something to do at home
and went back? She’s blind, she can’t see
anything, nothing will happen to her!”
