It was evident to everyone that the Scott Group was so generous because of Evelyn, even though Evelyn never admitted it. Occasionally, when asked about their relationship, she would simply answer honestly, “Just family elders.”
Evelyn was informed by Ashley two weeks before the welcome party that she was preparing to recommend herself as the new president of the club.
