She fixed her gaze on Rhea, demanding. Till ask one last time, do you want to tell me who that

The next morning, as Charles settled into his office, a cup of hot coffee was promptly placed before him.
A soft voice interrupted his focus, “Mr. Hensley, here is your coffee.”
He was accustomed to his secretary bringing him coffee daily, but today was different.
He looked up, surprised to see not his usual secretary but Mavis standing there.
His expression turned serious and chilly as he asked, “Why are you here?”
Mavis seemed intimidated by his demeanor and stuttered in response. ‘It’s Your father asked me to intern at the company. He asked me to work with you, to to be your secretary first
Charles suspicion deepened. Was this his father’s doing?
He glanced at Mavis, who was visibly shaking, then picked up his phone to call home.
“Hello, it’s me. Did you arrange for Mavis to work at the company?”
Mavis, standing on this side of the desk, was taken aback. He had directly called his father to question the arrangement.
On the other end, Dom, expecting this call, remained unfazed. “Yes.”
Mr. Dom Hensley, have you forgotten our company’s policies during your absence? If she is to work here, she should at least pass the HR department’s assessment, Charles argued, clearly irritated by his father’s interference.
Did Dom really think that by pushing this arrangement, he would develop an interest in her?
Dom’s response was firm, “She has passed my assessment, and I believe she is fully qualified to be \your secretary?
Charles‘ gaze hardened. “I don’t need a secretary. If you truly wish to place her within the company, then I’ll have HR assign her a suitable position.”
“There’s no need for that. She’s fine as your secretary,” Dom insisted.

“Dad, I’m not lacking for women.” Charles retorted, making in dear he had no interest in the women his father tried to set him up with.
Dom scoffed, “Is that so? Are you saying there are women and you? Witry haven’t I heard of any?
A flash of Jessica’s face crossed Charles‘ mind, altering his tone slightly. “I will bring her home to meet you one day.” With that, he ended the call abruptly.
Dom. left pondering on the other end, threw his phone aside, wondering when his own band managed to keep a woman a secret.
