Willow bristled, clutching her belly, feigning
hurt.
“What do you mean? Are you accusing me?”
“Where were you last Wednesday
afternoon?”
Ethan cornered her, holding her hand down.
Her nails were perfectly smooth.
“Even if you remove nail polish, it wouldn’t be
this clean. Willow, you’re lying.”
Willow’s eyes darted around. She nervously
rubbed her dress.
Ethan’s heart sank. He knew her too well; that
