Chapter 13
The emotion in Logan’s eyes changed as he gradually softened his voice. “I’m fine.” He coughed. “It’s just a mild fracture,” he said feebly.
“Why does he sound out of breath, and why is he coughing?” Ivy took a moment to ponder after hearing his voice.”
“No… did my curse on him come true?” she continued to wonder.
Then, she recalled that she used to think awfully about him behind his back. She had cursed him with the wish that he would go to hell, and she had secretly called him a jerk.
All of a sudden, Ivy felt a trace of guilt.
“So…. where is this fractured bone of yours?” she asked.
Logan glanced at his left arm and answered, “It’s my left arm.
“That’s not too bad. At least it won’t affect your work,” said Ivy with an awkward smile.
Hearing that, Logan suddenly fell into silence, and his heart throbbed with pain.
“Ivy, are you being sarcastic?” he asked cautiously,
He knew that he was at fault. He was often away due to business matters. However, whenever he was at home, he was the one who troubled Ivy.
After listening to almost all kinds of things circulating around, he really felt that he was a jerk.
Ivy scorned him in silence, and she felt speechless because of his words. “What kind of foolish response is that?” she thought to herself.
“No, you’re overthinking it,” she answered.
Logan pursed his lips. He took a while to gather himself. Then, he slowly and solemnly replied to Ivy, who was on the other end of the phone call, “Ivy, could you come and visit me?”
Ivy was shocked to find him speaking with such an undignified attitude.
“Ivy, could you, please?” In that instance, Logan felt that he was pitiful. He had been deceived like a fool. He did not know about the things that his mother had done behind his back to bully Ivy.
He felt that he really deserved all of this.
Ivy took a moment to consider his request. Then, she agreed because she thought that perhaps they could become friends.
“That thought seems familiar,” she wondered.
Then, it struck her. It was not the first time that she had such a thought. She had tried to befriend Logan before. From experience and expectations, she could never be friends with Logan Clarke.
Even if they become friends, her relationship with him would be superficial.
It was the weekend the next day. At 10 o’clock in the morning, Skylar Gray saw Ivy all dressed up.
Seeing this, Skylar could not help but curiously ask, “Where are you going?”
“I’m going to visit Logan,” she replied as she took some chicken soup made by the maid.
Skylar was taken aback by her response. He did not believe that Ives would want to rekindle her relationship with Logan Clarke.
“Why are you visiting him? And what’s with the chicken soup as if he broke his bone?” Skylar asked.
“He cracked his bone.”

Skylar was speechless to find his prediction to be unbelievably accurate.
“Should I give you a lift then?”
Ivy thought for a while and nodded. “Sure.”
At 10:30 am, they arrived at the hospital.
“I’ll wait for you downstairs.”
Ivy walked into the ward while she carried a thermal flask.
A few of them were stunned to see her.
Henry Shelton quietly moved from his position, hoping that others would disregard his presence. However, the drastic change in their relationship status had made him emotional, and he could not help but sigh.
he thought.
