“I’ve been eyeing this necklace for a long time now, and I found that it was on auction in Zurich. I told Sky to buy it for me, but he got the name wrong and went to another auction. In the end, he bought me a blue diamond called the Heart of Hope. It was this big,” she said as she motioned with her hand.
“It’s 35.56 carats. Although it’s not the purple diamond that I like, it’s really pretty.” Although Skylar had gotten the name wrong, the diamond still fit her sense of aesthetic.
“What does this have to do with the Boundless Galaxy?” he asked.
As she mentioned it, she really wanted to pull Logan over to beat him up that instant.
She then said to Pierre, “Logan has a
med Stella Palmer.”
Her voice was not soft and was fully intende
to trigger Logan.
“She has nothing to do with me. You can’t frame me like that.” Logan was, of course, unhappy, and he immediately retorted.
Ivy ignored him and continued, “I happened to run into her and her friends before. I’m not sure if she saw me, but she suddenly changed the subject and told everyone that Logan bought her a necklace called the Boundless Galaxy. I was so pissed back then. D*mn, I was a fool.”
Henry looked at Logan in the eye and sniggered. “Heh, bud, you’re awesome. Now you understand what having your coattails being ridden feels like?”
“This is almost too much, yet you still entertain her.” Andrew was furious as he heard that. “Stella Palmer, you rumor–spreading fool.”
“I don’t entertain her, and I really didn’t know.” Even Logan found it incredulous when he heard about the matter.
Ivy let out a sneer. “So even though I’ve told you, you won’t believe me.”
Pierre was silent for a moment before he closed the velvet box and pushed it before her.
She suddenly felt that Pierre seemed a little unhappy, and she softly asked, “What’s wrong?”
“A lover?” Pierre looked at Ivy. “Since when did your temper become so mellow?”
Ivy was taken aback for a bit. Pierre appeared to be a little angry.
“I thought Sky was just exaggerating yesterday. I never thought that it was just the tip of the iceberg.”
Logan’s sideways glance was completely on Pierre, so much so that even Ivy was surprised.
Truth be told, in their three years of marriage, she had never seen Logan like that before. He had been extremely cold and distant, with the air of someone who was a level above all others.
Pierre just smiled and extended his hand. “Hello, I’m Pierre North.”
Logan looked at the hand and let out a cold sneer. He had always been arrogant. After all, he had the ability to back that arrogance up.
Ivy was speechless, and she simply whispered, “Rude.”
The moment Logan heard that, it felt like a bucket of cold water had been poured right over his pride with just a single word from her.
How could he not be angry when this Pierre person was trying to take his wife away from him?
Henry heard his name this time and thought about it several times. The first time, hmm… a good name. The second time, hmm… sounds familiar. The third time… Pierre North, Pierre North…
Pierre North!!
He was Pierre North!
He suddenly looked up and saw that Logan was about to shake Pierre’s hand. He immediately pulled Logan away and shouted, “Stop!

Don’t touch him! He’s Pierre North!”
Everyone went, “Huh?”
Henry’s heart beat extremely fast as his adrenaline surged.
“Are you crazy? What are you screaming for?” Ivy was almost knocked out by his scream.
Henry looked at Ivy and said, “He’s Pierre?”
“Yeah, he’s Pierre alright.” Ivy suddenly looked at Henry with excitement. She knew exactly what was on his mind.
“We’ll be heading off first. Bye.” Henry dragged Logan with an indescribable expression on his face.
For some reason, Logan was actually dragged away.
Henry had thought that it would be difficult to drag Logan away, not expecting it to be so easy.
After they got outside, he asked Logan, “Why didn’t you speak?”
“Didn’t you drag me away just now?” There was no trace of any expression on Logan’s face as he looked at Henry indifferently.
Henry was speechless.
“Who’s Pierre North?” Andrew peered into the restaurant, not understanding why Henry had reacted that way.
Henry started to tell them about Pierre. “If Skylar can break your ribs with a punch, then Pierre’s punch will probably leave you half- dead.”
He smirked twice. “And it’s the type of half–dead that leaves you puking blood. When I was in school, the reason no one dared to do anything to Ivy was because of this dude, Pierre North.”
“How do you know so much?” Andrew asked.
Henry had been from the same school as Logan, and they had been together all the way from junior high to university. Why did Henry know so much about Ivy and they did not?
Henry touched his purple hair. “It’s because I was beaten up by Ivy before, and I was going to exact my revenge on her. Although Skylar’s very strong, I thought that as long as there were enough people, I could take that kid out. But…”
He then broke into a wry smile. “The group of gangsters I looked for vowed to me on the first day that everything would be okay. It was not until I mentioned Ivy’s name that all of them ran away and none of them showed up. It was only later that I heard that there was this person called Pierre by Ivy’s side, and they had been together since junior high. Everyone said that he was very powerful.”
After realizing that, he was glad that he had the forbearance to withstand it, otherwise, he might have been inside a very shallow grave.
“If I had looked for gangsters from outside school, I might have ended up dead.” Henry sighed. He would have long been beaten to death by Pierre if that had happened.
“Although it’s been so many years since and I’ve mostly forgotten about Pierre, the moment she mentioned his name, I still felt scared.” If Ivy was no proper lady, then how would Pierre be someone compassionate?
Logan raised his head slightly and felt quite uneasy.
Pierre North…
He never knew about this man’s existence.
“However, I heard that Pierre went abroad after Ivy got married, seemingly to open up overseas markets. Now, for him to be back at this time…” Henry looked at Logan.
“Logan, your chances are even slimmer now.”
Even Andrew was anxious for him. “Why aren’t you thinking of a way? If they really get married, you’ll be the one left crying.”

I thought she liked were all pretenses. I don’t know her at all.” The more Logan spoke, the more his heart ached.
Both Henry and Andrew were speechless.
They had never seen Logan cry before since he was young, but he had been drunk and crying for the past three days.
On the matters of love, the fragile Logan was quite pitiful.
When Pierre saw Henry and the rest leave, he laughed. “He knows me?”
“I beat him up before.”
The moment Ivy said that, he immediately understood.
“He’s quite the trendy one. A non–mainstream purple dye.”
When it came to his purple hair, Iyy immediately got excited. “I got him to dye it that color.”
She then told Pierre what had happened previously.
