Jasper was detained for fifteen days for disorderly conduct. Once released, the first thing he did was find Phoebe.
“Where’s that ring?”
After the last incident, Phoebe was still a bit fearful when she saw Jasper again.
“Uh… I accidentally threw it into the pond in your neighborhood…”
Without hesitation, Jasper ran to the pond and jumped in.
By now it was late autumn, and Jasper spent hours in the pond searching for it, surrounded by curious onlookers.
“Isn’t that the MMA champion Jasper?”
“I heard he was detained for disorderly conduct a few days ago. Is he getting cocky after winning the championship?”
“You know nothing; he had all kinds of scandals before, but his wife covered them up.”
“Oh right, I know his wife, she’s a doctor at the city hospital.”
“Really? I saw him with a girl from his club not long ago, cozying up.”
“Ugh! What a jerk!”
Eventually, Jasper, exhausted and nearly drowning, was rescued by nearby onlookers and taken to the hospital.
When Finn arrived at the ER, Jasper was already unconscious, clutching the ring tightly.

Over the years, Jasper’s health had been poor, with Adeline always helping to improve it with food and supplements.
Since Adeline left, his health deteriorated. He caught a severe cold, inhaled dirty pond water, and developed severe pneumonia, almost ending up in the ICU.
With growing distrust toward Phoebe, Finn began investigating her past. He found an old post on her school forum.
The poster, claiming to be Phoebe’s roommate, suspected Phoebe of stealing a jade pendant given by her grandfather.
Finn eventually tracked down the poster and showed her the pendant Adeline left. The girl was excited at first but looked disappointed after examining it.
“This isn’t my pendant; mine has a deep scratch on the back…”
Finn was stunned by her words, unaware of what the girl said next.
He knew that Phoebe’s pendant had such a scratch on the back.
Meanwhile, in the UK, due to my injured right hand, I couldn’t apply for my beloved surgery field and turned to pursue a graduate degree in neurology.
School life was fulfilling, with a heavy first–year workload compared to back home. When I next heard about Jasper and Finn, it felt like an eternity had passed.
Since Jasper tore up the divorce agreement, I had my lawyer inquire, only to receive the reply, “I don’t want a divorce.”
The lawyer suggested I file for divorce. After all these years of love, I didn’t want to end up in court against Jasper.
After much thought, I called Jasper. He tried to persuade me not to divorce, but after a long conversation, I hung up when his emotions ran too high.
Little did I know, that call revealed my location.
One day after class, while having lunch with a male classmate, I accidentally spilled soup on myself.
Just as he was kindly helping me clean up, a figure charged over and kicked him to the ground. In shock, I looked up to see two familiar faces..
