Timothy froze, but that didn’t stop him for too long. He tossed the plushie aside like he’d never seen it before. “Do you like cakes, then? Tell me whatever you want. I’ll get it for you.”
I pulled Tabitha behind me and stopped Timothy’s act of love. “Drop the act, Timothy. You can go back to your game of loving father with Nathaniel.”
Timothy’s eyes lit up. With conviction, he said, “I knew it. You’re jealous. Stop messing around and come home with me, Yvonne. I promise I’ll never see Willow again.”
He had made up his mind on his way. Yvonne would be his only partner for life, which meant Willow had outlived her usefulness.
Heavens, the bastard looked so sure of himself. I very nearly slapped him. I couldn’t believe he was so… self–absorbed. Why had I never noticed that? Never mind. I didn’t care about talking to him.
I said, “I’ve signed the papers. My lawyer will contact you soon. I don’t need your company’s shares. I just want my property and assets. And I get custody. Sign the papers, and we’ll never show up in your world again.”
