Her husband had been looking for her, and all Timothy did was give him a little help. Once he was done with Willow’s case, Timothy went back to Sinoria. He wanted to apologize to Yvonne, to admit that he had done her dirty.
He would spend the rest of his life making it up to her and Tabitha. But on his way to the airport, his assistant called him. They were facing some trouble with an important project, and Timothy was needed.
He had no choice but to go back to the company. It was evening the next day when he was done. He hadn’t slept in nearly 48 hours, yet he asked his assistant to book him a flight.

His assistant suggested that he get some rest. He could go back the next day. However, he couldn’t wait. The assistant, failing to convince his boss, booked the flight for Timothy.
Timothy was resting his eyes on his way to the airport, but then something crashed into the car, and the vehicle swerved violently. His eyes snapped open, and he sat up, but then something crashed into the car again.
Someone was doing this on purpose, and Timothy knew it. There was no time to gather his thoughts. The car crashed into the guard rails, and he passed out.
The last thought that went through his head was, ‘I let them down again.‘
Timothy’s showing up was a wrench in my plan. I was wondering if I should move somewhere else, but then his lawyer called me. The lawyer told me everything, and I froze in my spot.
Timothy was dead, and I would inherit his wealth.
The reason? Willow sold Timothy out to survive. She convinced her husband to kidnap Timothy and demand a handsome ransom. Her husband was broke, his wealth stolen by Willow. Thanks to her, he was neck–deep in debt.
He had nothing to lose at this point, and Willow’s persuasion worked. They demanded 15 million from Timothy, and he agreed. However, they did not expect Timothy’s phone to have an automatic function that could call the cops when he was in danger.
The cops showed up soon after. Willow’s husband saw no way out, so he killed Willow and Timothy before he took his own life. Since Timothy and I weren’t technically divorced, I was first in line for his wealth.
I became a billionaire and the owner of a publicly–traded company overnight.
Coming to Timothy’s office, I lamented about life and the jokes it could make. ‘I can never get its sense of humor,‘ I thought.
