Chapter 16
“Sienna Blake, you’re pathetic. Thinking about how desperate you were back then is laughable. Dominic will be mine. You’d better not have any ideas about him!” Despite Faye’s lofty words, I could hear the fear behind them.
After all, when I left, Dominic hadn’t stayed with her as she’d expected. Instead,
he’d searched everywhere for me and even come directly to Berlin.
She was panicking, trying to assert her claim on him, afraid I might actually forgive
Dominic.
But with or without her interference, I would never forgive him.
“Really? Only you would want a man like Dominic–a cheating, disgusting,
despicable man. He’s not good enough for me. But be careful–if he cheated once,
he’ll cheat again.” My words made Faye completely lose her composure.
But everything I said was true.
I had Faye thrown out. She quickly went to find Dominic. Whatever she said must
have worked, because Dominic, who had previously refused to let her in, eventually allowed her inside.
After that, Dominic was quiet for a while. I thought he might have given up.
But I had overestimated him.
While waiting for Adrian after class, I was cornered by Dominic. He was holding flowers and a beautiful pink diamond ring, his face pleading: “Sienna, I truly know I was wrong. Please forgive me just this once. I promise I’ll be good to you. When we go back, we can get married immediately if you want.
His behavior seemed bizarre. I stepped back cautiously, afraid he might do
something extreme.
Just then, a strong arm wrapped around me, pulling me against a solid chest. My nose filled with a faint floral scent–Adrian had arrived.
Seeing Adrian holding me, rage instantly filled Dominic’s eyes. He glared at Adrian’s arm around me, his voice accusatory: “Who is he?!”
I leaned into Adrian’s embrace and answered naturally: “My fiancé, of course.” “Sienna Blake! I never agreed to our breakup, and you’re already so desperate for

another man?!” Dominic’s words were ugly. His earlier pleading and humility were exactly as I’d predicted–all an act.
“What kind of person are you to speak to my fiancée that way? Mr. Foster, this is Berlin.” Adrian’s voice was low and threatening.
He had never intended to let Dominic off easy, and now Dominic had wallked right
into his trap.
Adrian always had bodyguards nearby. As soon as he finished speaking, men in
black suits surrounded Dominic.
Not only was Dominic shocked, but I was startled too..
Though I’d heard rumors that Adrian came from nobility, this was my first time witnessing his anger.
Adrian held me close, gently reassuring me: “Don’t be afraid.”
Dominic was speechless, able only to stare at me intently.
I knew this matter needed resolution. Looking at Dominic, I said, “Dominic, let’s
settle everything today. After this, don’t bother me again.”
Dominic’s figure swayed slightly, as if he could barely stand.
I continued, “You could always see when Faye was suffering, but you never saw
- me. How many times did you abandon me because of her? You should know the
answer.”
“Dominic.” I suddenly called his name very seriously.
If none of this had happened, perhaps we would have married after graduation.
But… I didn’t want to love him anymore.
For some reason, Dominic felt a sense of panic. He looked at me helplessly, not knowing what I would say next..
“You know I’m afraid of water, right? Everyone thinks I accidentally fell in that time, but actually, it was because I tried to save you when we were fourteen. You were
unconscious and didn’t know it was me, but you must remember almost
drowning.”
“That day, you chose to save Faye without hesitation. At that moment, I decided I was done with you.”

Each of my sentences made Dominic’s face grow paler. He couldn’t say a word. These were all things he had done. How could he not remember?
“No… that’s not true. I didn’t mean to abandon you.” Dominic tried frantically to explain, but how could he explain away reality?
“Go. I don’t want to see you again,” I said calmly.
Dominic’s entire body seemed to fold in on itself, as if he had aged a decade in an
instant.
Adrian’s bodyguards escorted him away.
Adrian squeezed my hand tightly. “Sienna, I’ll always be by your side.”
I looked at him and nodded. “I believe you.”
After that day, I never saw Dominic again.
I did hear some news about him from Callum.
Callum was enjoying Dominic’s downfall. Dominic had taken Faye back to San Francisco. I finally learned why Dominic had let Faye in that day.
It was because Faye was pregnant.
I was shocked, but mostly disgusted. His mistress was pregnant, yet he still
wanted me to forgive him.
Thank goodness I had seen through him.
Later, Faye brought her pregnancy to the Foster family to force a marriage. Only then did his parents learn that Dominic and I had broken up. After discovering the reason, they threw Faye out.
They even told Dominic that if he dared marry that woman, they would disown
him.
Dominic could only keep Faye as a mistress, but how could Faye be satisfied being
a hidden lover for life?
To force Dominic to marry her, she ran away with their unborn child, thinking this
would make him desperate.
But after leaving San Francisco, she was targeted by the Foster family’s enemies. They kidnapped Faye and terminated her pregnancy.
Faye was tortured for a long time before being rescued, but by then, she would be

bedridden for life.
As for me… hearing this news, I felt nothing–not even sympathy.
They deserved it.
Dominic was deeply affected by these events. His depression eventually led the Foster family to give up on him. By the time Dominic realized this, it was too late. Later, Adrian and I held a magnificent wedding. As everyone had wished for us, we lived happily ever after.
