Chapter20
Yet Yesenia instantly twisted her wrist, seized Jayvion’s palm, and slammed his arm down against the wheelchair’s armrest with a sharp. smack that echoed through the bathroom.
Their eyes locked, both momentarily stunned.
Jayvion’s face darkened instantly.
Seeing the fury burning in his gaze, Yesenia sheepishly let go. “Sorry about that. It was just a reflex…”
She hastily released her grip and flipped his hand over, only to inhale sharply as she saw an alarming flush that extended from his palm to his
inner elbow.
Now she felt even guiltier.
“Look. I didn’t expect you to grab me like that. Want me to rub it for you?”
Jayvion stared at her. “Yesenia, what game are you playing now?”
She wrinkled her nose. “Was I that obvious?”
“Hah…” Did she think he was an idiot?
“Hey, don’t look at me like that. It’s not like I committed some unforgivable crime. How was I supposed to know you’d bruise sof easily?”
His skin must be naturally fair. Even if he had tanned, it would still turn red from the slightest touch.

When Jayvion kept glaring at her in silence fiercely, Yesenia muttered, “I just don’t want you mad at me.”
Her soft, sweet voice gave him a strange jolt.
Something indescribable surged inside him.
His expression remained cold. “You care about that?”
“Of course, I do,” Yesenia answered without hesitation, missing the slight casing of Jayvion’s glare.
But then she added. “If you hate me and refuse to let me treat your legs, won’t I be stuck as your servant forever?”
Jayvion’s face darkened again. He shoved her away,
At this rate, he wasn’t sure he could stop himself from strangling her one day.
“Hey…” Yesenia blinked, baffled, thinking, “This crazy man is impossible to please.”
She shook out her hand and continued, “Besides, I came to tell you something.”
Jayvion looked at her with mocking eyes.
She was finally showing her true colors.
“I’ll be starting school next week, so I won’t be here during the day.”
She waited, but Jayvion only responded after a long pause, his tone strange. “That’s it?”
“Yes. Rohan said you might get angry, so he told me to tell you. personally.”
“I don’t have time to keep tabs on you, “Jayvion laughed, the sound sharp with irritation.
“Got it.”
Yesenia pulled her cheeks, biting back a retort.
Who was the one with nothing better to do than hunt me down at GeekFlux Group? Who was the moody one flipping out over nothing?
If she weren’t worried he’d storm into her school to drag her back, she wouldn’t have bothered coming.
She glanced at the steaming bathwater. “Fine, then. Take care. I’ll get
out…”
“Continue.”
Yesenia blinked. Had she heard right? She pointed at him, then herself. “You just told me to leave.”
“I changed my mind,” he said shamelessly without a flicker of guilt. “Since you asked so nicely, I’ll give you this chance.”
“You didn’t even look at me! What a moody man!” muttering under her breath, she bent down again to undo his buttons.
Jayvion remained still, letting her hands roam over him.
His gaze settled on her. The lowered lashes, long and curled, hid her thoughts. But that tiny red mole near her eye quivered when she pouted, lending her face an unexpected liveliness.
Her irritation amused him.
But his satisfaction didn’t last.
H
He wasn’t used to physical contact, especially with women.
Yesenia’s fingers traced lightly across his skin, the barely–there touch. sending tingling sensations he couldn’t ignore.
While awake, he’d only ever let one person this close.
She removed his shirt, revealing the full tattoo spanning his chest. The vivid depiction was awe–inspiring.
The pendant rested against his collarbone, standing out starkly against
the tattoo.
Yesenia stared, momentarily stunned.
Jayvion glanced at her and gave an unreadable chuckle. “What? Scared of this?”
“Why would I be scared?” She snapped back to reality. “I was just surprised a demon like you wears such a religious pendant.”
He didn’t seem the type for spiritual symbols.
Leaning closer with sudden curiosity, she asked, “This doesn’t match. your tattoo at all. Did someone important give it to you?“.
Her cunning, bright eyes locked onto his.
Jayvion’s breath hitched. It took him seconds to remember to push her
away.
“Yesenia,” he warned, “don’t entertain any illusions. That’s enough. Get out.”
She shrugged and turned toward the door. “Alright, no prying. I’ll vanish once your legs heal.”
Her retort made Jayvion’s brow furrow tightly. An inexplicable irritation settled in his chest.

After two hours of emergency treatment, Sylvia was finally transferred to a hospital room.
In the luxurious private ward, the Mosley family wore complex. expressions, while the Carsons looked visibly uneasy and flustered.
Nielsen and Jennifer had been terrified when they saw the news.
How could Sylvia be so foolish and reckless as to do something so outrageous?
She could have lived comfortably as the Mosleys‘ heiress. Why did she ruin everything?
Now the whole country knew, turning her into a national
laughingstock and dragging the Mosley name through the mud.
If not for the Zimmerman family stepping in to control the damage, the Mosleys would have faced complete chaos.
“Dad, Mom, I know I was wrong… Please don’t abandon me…” Sylvia’s tearful murmurs shattered the heavy silence in the room.
Both Braylon and Belinda, along with Nielsen and Jennifer, moved toward her, but after exchanging glances, the Carsons hesitated and stopped.
Belinda took Sylvia’s ice–cold hand, her own nose stinging with
emotion.
After all, this was the daughter she had raised for eighteen years.
“Sylvia, Mom’s here,” she answered softly, soothing Sylvia gently.
Finally, Sylvia slowly opened her eyes. The moment she saw Braylon and Belinda, tears streamed down her face.
“Mom, Dad… I had a nightmare. I dreamed you didn’t want me anymore. I kept chasing you, but you wouldn’t stop… I was so scared…”
“Silly girl, dreams are false. How could we ever abandon you?”
Belinda wiped her tears away tenderly.
Sobbing, Sylvia kept her gaze lowered, too timid to look directly at Braylon. “I messed up… I hurt the Mosley Group…”
Compared to how he had looked at GeekFlux Group earlier, Braylon’s expression had softened considerably.
But at her words, his brow furrowed again, and though he tried to restrain himself, his tone remained stern. “Sylvia, I don’t want to scold you, but this time, you went too far!”
Belinda shot him a reproachful look. “The doctors have just gotten her out of danger. Isn’t that what matters? Let it go.”
“Mom, Dad’s right,” Sylvia said hoarsely, tears still falling. “I was reckless. I thought I could help the Mosley Group through its troubles. I lost my judgment… I deserve it. I’ll take whatever punishment
comes…
As Sylvia wept bitterly, Braylon’s anger gradually dissolved into guilt.
