Howard froze instantly upon hearing Noah’s words, momentarily unable to process what he’d just heard.
“Who did you say is your wife?”
A mocking smile appeared on Noah’s face. Before he could respond,
I quickly jumped in, “Howard, he is my husband. I’m marrying him today, not you.”
Howard’s face turned deathly pale at my words.
He staggered backward, saying in disbelief, “That’s impossible! You’re my fiancée. How could you possibly marry him?”
He knew I was his fiancée, yet he still chose Stephanie in front of everyone that day.
I was about to continue when Howard suddenly panickéd and said urgently, “Ellie, are you still angry with me? I’ll make Stephanie leave my house right now, okay?”
Noah impatiently pulled our marriage certificate from his pocket.
“Mr. Fitzgerald, Ellie and I are already legally married. We’re husband and wife now.”
I was surprised that Noah carried our marriage certificate with him. When Howard clearly saw the names and photos on the document, his eyes widened, and he shouted as if he’d been struck, “Ellie, how could you marry him? He’s nothing but a playboy! You’ll regret this!”
Noah looked displeased, and I was utterly tired of Howard’s belated

passion.
“Whoever I marry is none of your business. This is my choice, so please stop blocking our way.”
Noah smiled with satisfaction at my response.
Just then, someone urged, “It’s almost time. Please get in the car!”
Noah took my hand, intending to lead me away. I was lifting my wedding dress to get into the car when Howard suddenly grabbed my wrist.
Looking terrified, he pleaded, “Ellie, don’t marry him. Come home with me, please?”
Noah narrowed his eyes and coldly said, “Mr. Fitzgerald, are you trying to take my wife away again?”
Howard stared at him intensely and said through gritted teeth, “Yes.”
Noah’s smile instantly vanished. With a stern face, he asked, “Mr. Fitzgerald, do you want to make an enemy of the Webster family?”
The air froze instantly, and the surrounding guests held their breath, not daring to make a sound.
I forcefully yanked my hand away from Howard and said coldly, “You want to take me away again? Too bad, I don’t want to go with you. If you feel any remorse toward me at all, don’t bring bad luck on my wedding day.”
Howard stood frozen, seemingly unable to believe I would treat him

this way. After all, for so many years, I had always followed him around, trying to please him.
At that moment, Noah signaled to his bodyguards. Immediately, two burly men stepped forward and restrained Howard.
Howard struggled fiercely but couldn’t move. His eyes were bloodshot. To avoid causing a scene, he hadn’t even brought his own security today.
Noah directly pulled me into the car. As the car started moving, Howard was still struggling to break free, calling out my name, “Ellie, don’t get in the car!”
However, I didn’t even glance at him, because my feelings for him had completely vanished the day he publicly left our wedding.
Perhaps concerned that Howard might cause more trouble, they drove extremely fast, and we arrived at the hotel shortly after.
Noah and I quickly completed our vows.
The ring Noah finally placed on my finger was a diamond larger than a dove’s egg. I had seen it at an auction before, where the starting bid was already two billion dollars.
I felt deeply moved, increasingly convinced that marrying Noah was far wiser than choosing Howard.
When Noah and I toasted with the guests, everyone was in high spirits, and no one gossiped about me.

My parents and Noah’s parents were chatting happily, even discussing potential business collaborations on the spot.
As soon as the wedding ended, Noah took me straight to our bridal suite.
However, at that moment, Howard had somehow broken free from restraint and chased after us.
