Chapter 24
Bethany didn’t go back to this house for many years. There was a
lot of work to do. She needed to clean up and repair many things
in the house.
Even if she would only stay here for half a year, she wanted to
live more comfortably.
From now on, she would only please herself.
A few days later, the old house finally looked decent.
Bethany decided to buy a computer.
Animation production required a high–performance computer.
She was unable to accomplish much in half a year, but she didn’t
seriously study animation production in the past years, and she
still wanted to make up for that.
She also needed to purchase some new items, and Bethany spent
the day shopping until it was dark.
She just organized her purchases, and then there was a knock on
the door.

That was strange.
Who would come looking for her at this time?
Bethany opened the door.
She was surprised it was Julio…
They didn’t meet each other for many years.
If it weren’t for the small beauty mark on his forehead, Bethany wouldn’t dare to say it was Julio.
When Julio was about twelve, his birth father took him and his mom away to Aranoland.
They occasionally kept in touch before.
However, seven years ago, she lost her phone in that big fire. She changed her phone number later, and then she couldn’t get in touch with Julio.
Julio leaned against the door. His eyes were gentle, and his eyebrows slightly raised. “Dummy, don’t you recognize me?”
Bethany blinked lightly.
After fifteen years, the once reckless young boy became gentle. His wire–rimmed glasses made him look like a charming and

The familiar fragrance of gardenia on him seemed to bring back
memories of old times.
When Julio was a child, people often gossiped about him because he was from a single–parent family, and nobody knew who his father was.
To protect his mom’s reputation, he always fought with others since he was little.
In their neighborhood, he became the leader of a group of children.
But at the beginning, they didn’t get along well.
Julio also called Bethany by her nickname, Dummy, just as others did.
Later, Bethany didn’t know what happened, but Julio started to protect her and didn’t allow others to call her Dummy.
But he still kept calling her Dummy.
Time really flew.
Bethany asked in sign language politely, “When did you come
back from abroad?”

“I just got back. Can I come in?”

Terrence just got off the plane.
The secretary called him.
“Mr. McConnell, your news is trending online.”
“You contact me for such a minor issue?”
Terrence’s tone was clearly a bit displeased.
“Can you take a look and decide whether I need to contact them
to delete it?”
Terrence thought it must be about the purchase of Burning Love.
He didn’t care.
“No need.”
Terrence hung up the phone.
Emery held Terrence and Krista’s hands, walking happily
towards the airport exit.
The exit was crowded.
