She never told Terrence about her hometown.
And he never asked her.

The man’s deep voice came.
“Don’t tell me, after seven years of being my wife, you still can’t
tell the difference between a real diamond and a fake one.”
Bethany instinctively looked at the diamond pendant in the
box.
She didn’t pay attention to whether it was real or fake just now.
Her attention was on the voice device.
Terrence suddenly approached her, his lips almost touching her
earlobe.
“You like it?”
His voice was warm and attractive. The man’s hot breath
sprayed on her ear.

At least it could help her communication with others.
Terrence seemed to notice that Bethany cared about the
pendant so much. He reached another hand to pinch her chin.
“You’d better be clear that you’re still my wife. How can you just
accept jewelry from another man?”
Bethany wanted to say that she didn’t want to be his wife
anymore.
However, she couldn’t make any sound.
Terrence grabbed her wrist, pulled her out the door, and put her
into the car. He fastened the seatbelt for her.
Bethany’s hands finally got free. She signed, “Terrence, what do

“What did you do just now?”
Bethany thought he must have seen Julio giving her the voice
pendant.
He threw it in front of her.
It meant he was angry.
She was even more mad than him.
But she didn’t want to explain anything.
Terrence slammed the car door and got into the driver’s seat.
After getting in the car, his face was still cold.
“Who was that man just now?”
Bethany’s heart tightened. She would die soon, so she wasn’t
afraid of what Terrence would do to her.
But Julio…
She didn’t want to get him involved because of her. He gave her
the voice pendant because he wanted to help her. He was so
kind.

“He’s my neighbor. He has been abroad for many years and just came back. He just gave me a gift.”
Terrence’s eyes were cold. He directly cut her off, “You know
what I mean.”
Bethany frowned.
Terrence added, “You didn’t go home these days. Is that because
you were with him, huh?”
Bethany signed to him urgently, “It has nothing to do with him.
Don’t get him involved in our problems.”
Terrence sneered, then stopped talking and started the car.
