Chapter48
“Go and check, where did Mrs. McConnell go to the hospital?”
Terrence closed his phone, and Krista worriedly asked, “Is Beth
sick?”
Terrence pursed his thin lips and remained silent.
It seems to have some unspeakable secrets.
Krista hesitated for a moment and then said, “Why don’t you go
and see her? I’ll stay here with Emery.”
“Wait for Emery to come out before saying anything.”
She still needed to determine which hospital.
When he came out of the house, he only saw the tail of an ambulance and didn’t see clearly which hospital it belonged to.
When Emery came out, people were still asleep, probably
because of a fever, with a flushed face.
Terrence looked gloomy.
If it weren’t for Bethany’s incompetence, Emery wouldn’t have suffered this punishment.
Emery was taken to the ward. Terrence stood outside and
inquired about the child’s condition – high fever–induced coma
and a mild case of pneumonia.
Recovery required a phase for him not to worry.
Terrence walked into the ward, and Krista was gently wiping
Emery’s face with a towel.
Krista saw him come in and said, “Terrence, go and check on Beth quickly!”
After speaking, Krista lowered her head and wiped Emery’s hands.
Terrence’s mood became increasingly irritable.
These things were supposed to be done by Bethany.
Terrence’s phone rang, and he left the ward to answer the call.
“Mr. McConnell, found it, Mrs. McConnell was closer to
Rivermond General Hospital.”
Terrence put away his phone and entered the elevator.
Bethany woke up quickly in the emergency room because she was sent for treatment in a timely manner.
The doctor said her body had problems, so he communicated
with her to do a comprehensive physical examination.
Bethany didn’t want more people to know about her cancer, so
she told the doctor that she had just had an examination at
Blackwood Medical Center a few days ago and that she needed
to go there today to pick up the report. She insisted on being
discharged.
The doctor made her sign a liability waiver before allowing her to leave the hospital.
When Terrence hurried over, there was no one in the ward
anymore.
He asked the nurse and found out that Bethany had already left.
The chest felt like it was burning.
Terrence took out his phone and instinctively dialed Bethany’s number.
Suddenly, Bethany pulled him away just as he was about to put down his phone, and the phone unexpectedly rang.
Bethany sat in the taxi and saw Terrence’s phone.
discomfort, she took Terrence out of the blacklist to call him.
I didn’t have time to pull it again.
After the call ended, Bethany put Terrence’s phone back on the
blacklist.

Bethany didn’t answer the phone, which was undoubtedly a
burning oil for Terrence.
Terrence’s phone had unread messages, and he opened it to take
a look.
There was a missed call reminder.
It was after nine o’clock.
It was Bethany’s number.
In an instant, his brow furrowed like a rope, and he quickly
dialed Bethany’s phone again.
However, it couldn’t be reached anymore.
So, just now she saw him make the phone call…
Bethany returned to the hotel, packed her suitcase, and decided
to leave.

Terrence didn’t care about her life anymore, she had nothing to
hold on to.
She walked to the hotel door and unexpectedly bumped into
Evangeline.
Evangeline saw her carrying a suitcase and couldn’t help but
frown.
Yesterday, she had contacted Terrence on WhatsApp. Terrence said Emery had a fever and he was in the hospital.
Evangeline narrowed her pupils, “Bethany, what have you done? Emery got sick and was hospitalized, why didn’t you go take care of him? Why are you still staying at the hotel?”
Bethany glanced at Evangeline, then walked past her and left without a word.
Evangeline was about to go crazy.
She was the eldest daughter of the McConnell family, and no one dared to treat her like that.
Bethany, a mute, came from nowhere with such confidence that she didn’t even say hello when she saw her.
Evangeline hurried forward and blocked Bethany’s way.
“Bethany, what do you mean?”
Evangeline thought Bethany was very strange today.
Bethany couldn’t speak, and she didn’t want to take out her
phone to type and show Evangeline.
She didn’t intend to have a husband and son, so how could she
care about how Evangeline sees her.
Evangeline saw Bethany but remained silent, feeling frustrated. She angrily said, “I will call Terrence right away and have him dump you!”
After speaking, Evangeline took out her phone.
Bethany didn’t leave, it would be good if Evangeline could convince Terrence to dump her.
She was thinking of divorcing Terrence.
The phone was quickly answered.
