Terrence confirmed Bethany’s identity in front of his best
friends.
Lucian glanced at Kyson, “Everyone’s gone, are you still
drinking?”
Kyson picked up his glass and said, “The person with a bad
mood left, I’m feeling good, why not have a drink, join me?”
The nominal eldest uncle, still have to give face.
Lucian raised his glass and clinked it with Kyson.
Kyson put down his glass, “Did you talk to Terrence?”
“He didn’t refuse or agree when you brought it up, but he did
take on your project, so I guess that counts as accepting it.
You’re lucky. Terrence’s wife showed up at just the right time
tonight. By the way, how do you know her?”
“My family’s Sir Duarte had a hobby of collecting paper-
cuttings. To make the old man happy, the owner of a paper-
cutting shop introduced him to Terrence’s wife.”
“So, you asked her out just to buy her paper–cutting art? And

you chose to meet at this kind of place?”
Lucian swirled the red wine in his glass.
“I met a client earlier, then had to meet you guys again, couldn’t
get away. She seemed very eager to sell, so I had the craft store
owner bring it directly here. But, to be honest with you,
Terrence’s wife’s paper–cutting skills are probably once in a
century.”
Lucian chuckled, “Are you giving her such a high praise just
because she’s Terrence’s wife, with some bias mixed in?”
“As for it, Sir Duarte is not someone you can fool easily. I have
been collecting paper–cutting crafts for a year, and my
appreciation skills are almost at a professional level.”
Lucian wondered why Terrence’s wife was in such a hurry to
sell.

Bethany was carried into the elevator by Terrence, and only
then did she come to her senses, struggling to get down.
Terrence completely ignored her.
When they got to the car, Michael came over and opened the

back to Vespera Villa.

Bethany pushed open the car door.
Terrence got off the car.

Terrence’s eyes instantly turned into sparkling darkness,
sneering, “So, you can’t rely on that Julio, go find Kyson instead.
I never knew you were so interested in me, knowing that Kyson
has the guts to go against me.”
The man’s grip in his palm loosened a bit, and Bethany then
pushed his hand away, saying in sign language, “You’re
overthinking it.”
Terrence stood there, the outdoor lights in the villa courtyard
shining on his face, reflecting his handsome and charming
appearance.
But Bethany’s heart stopped beating.
“Okay, I was overthinking. Just tell me, what did you ask Kyson
to do?”

Bethany was well aware that if Terrence knew she was going to
sell the paper cuts, he would definitely continue to block her
way.

are really worried about you since you didn’t come home.”
