“That still shouldn’t have been you taking over, you just really
wanted to be the sucker.” Lucian was worried things might
actually get physical, so he tried to talk some sense into him,
“Even if you want to go after her, wait until Terrence gets
divorced first. I think Terrence has been really patient and
tolerant with you, honestly, he’s done right by you. It’s kind of
hard to watch. People like us, if someone treated us like that, we
would’ve already done something about it, right?”
“Forget it, I’m not going to talk about this with you. I really
didn’t know what was going on in your head. You didn’t have
any sense of right and wrong.”
Lucian was really upset, “You’re the one with no morals. At least
I didn’t steal someone else’s wife. Anyway, I would never steal
someone else’s wife. If I got married and you tried to steal my
wife, I wouldn’t be as easygoing as Terrence.”
“Your wife wasn’t even around yet, and I was supposed to steal
her? Don’t let it be that I get married in the future and you still

Lucian shrugged and said, “That’s just because Daphie
disappeared. If Daphie were still around, I bet as soon as I hit the
legal age, your dad and my dad would have forced me to get
married.”
“Stop making it sound so grand. You just don’t want this
arranged marriage, right?” Kyson said, then changed the subject,
“Let’s not talk about this anymore. I’ve invested in the movie,
you agreed this morning, so you handle the theater stuff.”
“This…” Lucian’s pupils narrowed, “You set me up?”
“No, I didn’t know it was this movie before. It just happened to
be a trap, and you fell into it.”
Lucian grumbled, “Fine, you’re tough! You’re fighting with
Terrence, and now I’m dragged into it too. I don’t care, if
Terrence gets mad at me, you deal with it.”
“Don’t worry, I took full responsibility, okay?”
“That’s more like it.”
For Lucian, it didn’t matter whether Kyson voted or Terrence
did.
