Evangeline pointed at Julio behind her and said, “You’re still
speaking up for her? Look who she came with. Terrence, you
have no shame, and the McConnell family still cares about their
reputation.”
Terrence just then noticed Julio standing nearby.
At this moment, the carousel stopped, and Julio was waving at
Bethany and Shyla.
Terrence said coldly, “Don’t say that in front of the kid.”
Bethany led Shyla out from inside.
Shyla knew Emery was there, so she called out, “Emery.“”
Then he called out, “Uncle Terrence, Aunt Evangeline, you’re both here! Do you want to play together?”

only had me. Today I was just spending time with Shyla, okay?”
Shyla thought about it too, Uncle Terrence and Aunt
Evangeline were both there, so Emery was taken care of.
“Okay, let’s go.” Then Shyla waved at Emery, “Emery, we’re
heading over first.”
Bethany didn’t even look at Emery. When she was about to
leave with Shyla, Emery suddenly grabbed Bethany’s sleeve.

“Mom, I was your real son. How could you only want Shyla and
