Marcus racked his brain but couldn’t figure out the reason why Emma suddenly left him.
The phone rang, and Marcus was so excited that his hands were shaking, he could barely hold the phone.
When he finally held the phone in his hand, thinking joyfully that it was a call from Emma, he saw Kate’s name flashing on the screen.
Marcus’s breath caught in his throat, the rollercoaster of emotions leaving him feeling dizzy.
