Claire quickly passed out due to excessive blood loss.
Marcus always looked on coldly, without a hint of pity. The only moment of vulnerability came when Claire exposed his most genuine thoughts.
He had long known from the messages Emma sent him that Emma knew about his cheating before Claire provoked him.
It was only his mistake, he would apologize to Emma in person, Claire, the ‘culprit’, had no right to shirk responsibility.
The nanny nervously made a phone call, and soon after, Kate and the ambulance arrived at the villa one after the other.

Marcus seemed to be numb, pouring bottle after bottle of alcohol into his stomach.
He tried to numb himself by drinking, maybe that way he wouldn’t have to endure the pain anymore.
Marcus took out his broken and barely recognizable phone screen, opened the chat page with Emma, and looked at the messages they had once sent to each other one by one.
How nice it would have been if nothing had changed.
Marcus looked up and remembered the messages that Emma had sent
him.
There were many intimate photos of him and Claire, and Emma, who saw them at that time, must have been so heartbroken.
Marcus’s breathing paused, and he suddenly covered his chest, struggling to breathe.
