Parker let out a cold laugh, “An explanation? What kind of explanation do you want? The cold, unfeeling words from Parker made Janet tremble uncontrollably, her teeth clenched, refusing to speak.
Seeing her daughter in distress, Adele hurried to comfort her, “Janet, don’t be afraid! Tell everyone that you didn’t do anything like that! I’ll back you up!”
Janet couldn’t bear to look into Parker’s eyes, which were void of any warmth, but under Adele’s relentless urging, she finally relented, “Yes! I did these things!”
“But what does that matter? Michelle has had the fatherly and motherly love I never got! Now, she wants to steal my fiancé? I’ve been betrothed to Parker since we were children!

Why should she have everything?” Janet’s resentment and unwillingness were palpable.
She couldn’t understand, what made Michelle so special? Why would Parker go mad for her like this?
The Smith couple stood frozen,

He didn’t expect the force to send her crashing against the wall. Janet immediately fainted and blood began to leak from her abdomen.
