Chapter 8
Nylah, in a state o
state of extreme anxiety, looked over with lifeless eyes, completely unable to understand what she was saying.
Cadence did not explain any further and closed the door to go upstairs and rest.
It rained all night.
The next day, she went downstairs and only then did she realize that Nylah had not left, but had been kneeling in the yard all night
Her face was pale as paper, and she felt dizzy and on the verge of collapsing
Seeing her weak appearance, Cadence was also startled and wanted to go forward to support her.
But as soon as she reached out her hand, she was pushed away by the approaching Malachi
He was still wearing hospital clothes, with no trace of color on his face, but he hugged Nylah tightly.
After he raised his hand and felt her burning forehead, his gaze instantly became sharp and cold as he looked at Cadence.
“Cadence! She never offended you! With such heavy rain, you made her kneel all night? How could your heart be so cruel?”
In the face of his angry reprimand, Cadence clenched her hand into a fist, her voice filled with a profound sense of
f powerlessness.
“It had nothing to do with me. I let her go back last night, and she knelt silently for a few hours.”
“It’s none of your business! Nylah is unconscious now, you can make whatever excuses you want, she can’t argue back at all! But you know what you did, and I know too, so you don’t need to come up with these false reasons! You better pray that nothing happens to Nylah, otherwise I will make sure you pay the price!”
After scolding Malachi sternly, he hurried to the hospital with Nylah.
He also called someone and forcibly took Cadence into the car.
All the way, he stared at Nylah, who was unconscious, with his heartache about to overflow in his eyes, constantly urging the driver.
The driver was sweating profusely, and his extremely nervous nerves were about to snap
As he was waiting to cross an intersection, he suddenly stepped on the gas pedal and didn’t notice the sports car that appeared behind him. The next second, two cars collided head–on.
Cadence sat in the passenger seat, and she was the most severely impacted.
She bumped her head on the car door, feeling as if her internal organs were about to shift, causing unbearable pain.
She was in so much pain that she could hardly breathe, and her consciousness gradually dissipated in the midst of pain and confusion.
Her eyelids drooped heavily, and a blood–red shade covered her entire field of vision.
Before losing consciousness, she saw the broken car window and the silhouette of Malachi laying with Nylah, covered in blood
In a daze, she heard the sirens of an ambulance and the urgent voices of doctors.
“The patient’s artery was damaged and required immediate surgery, otherwise there could be a life–threatening situation. Sir, are you sure you want to prioritize saving the patient with a high fever? She doesn’t have any life–threatening injuries, and it won’t be risky to delay her treatment a little.”
Malachi’s voice fell into Cadence’s ears through the door, becoming the last sound she heard before losing consciousness.
“I only wanted Nylah to be safe, no matter how badly Cadence was injured, I had to save Nylah first! The lives of others are not my concern!”
After breaking free from a long nightmare, Cadence woke up and saw Gilbert and Raven, both with tears streaming down their faces
“Cadence, the doctor said you were almost beyond saving, your dad and I were so scared we thought we were going to have a heart attack, luckily you’re okay!”
The gratitude of surviving the catastrophe surged in Cadence’s heart, causing her to uncontrollably shed tears.
The family of three cried their hearts out for a long time. It was only after a while that Gilbert and Raven managed to calm down and gently wiped her tears away.
“You got hurt so badly this time, shall we postpone our trip abroad for a month?”
Looking back on everything that happened after being reborn, Cadence still shudders with fear.

She shook her head heavily, with a determined attitude.
“No delays, Dail, Mom, the medical conditions in Europe are also very good, let’s go there for recuperation. Let’s stick to the original
