Jasper held flowers, quietly waiting for my appearance.
The first time he saw me, I was cornered by some thugs. In just one glance, he recognized me as Declan’s daughter.
Driven by fate, he saved me.
Seeing my bright, admiring eyes, a meticulous plan for revenge unfolded in his mind.
I was originally at the bottom of the class, but I fell in love at first sight with Jasper, who was the top student.
Since then, I worked hard to catch up, hoping to be part of his future.
On my eighteenth birthday, emboldened by alcohol, I confessed to him with a red face.
“Jasper, I like you!”
With a nervous heart, the expected rejection didn’t come. Jasper’s eyes, void of emotion, stared at me for a long time.
Then he nodded slightly and said, “Okay.”
There was clearly no love in his cold eyes, but I was so overwhelmed with joy that I kissed him excitedly.
That beautiful night remained my lucky day until the truth was revealed, marking the beginning of Jasper’s humiliation of me.
Jasper looked at the dressing room, feeling a faint anticipation.
He couldn’t deny that the original intention of using me had long changed. He couldn’t help but fall in love with me.
In his mind, Jasper thought to himself:
Anyway, the main culprit, her mom, is dead. The old man doesn’t have many years left. Maybe we can go back to how things were when we first fell in love.
If… we have a child, Declan’s Family is big and wealthy enough to raise a child, holding me back just right.

That enchanting night, before the truth surfaced, I always believed it was a day when fortune truly favored me.
But little did I know it marked the beginning of Jasper’s humiliation towards me.
Jasper gazed at the dressing room, a subtle hope stirring within him.
He couldn’t deny that what started as mere manipulation had evolved. He found himself falling for me.
Jasper silently mused:
Anyway, her mother–the main instigator–is already gone, and the old man doesn’t have long left. Maybe we can return to how
we were in love before.
If… a child came along, the Declan family is large enough to accommodate any situation, which could anchor me.
Jasper furrowed his brows, suddenly recalling the determined look in my eyes that day, and a wave of unease surged through him.
The dressing room door opened.
Jasper quelled his unease, ready to greet his bride.
The hem of a dress appeared gradually, making Jasper’s heart race.
He instinctively tightened his grip on the bouquet, trying to suppress the smile on his lips.
Yet in the next moment, Keira shyly revealed her face.
“Jasper, do I look good like this?”
Jasper’s expression shifted slightly.
“Why is it you? Where’s Lydia?”
Keira sweetly took Jasper’s arm and said, “She said you love me and wanted to make us happy.”
Jasper’s brows furrowed deeper.
He shook off Keira’s hand and called the housekeeper.
“Has Miss Lydia been home these days?”
“She’s not home. I called her for meals, but her room was all tidied up. I thought you had taken her out. Why wasn’t I informed?”
Jasper’s heart sank bit by bit, unease bubbling in his chest. He hurriedly rushed back home from the wedding venue.
The door was flung open, causing the photo frame on the shoe cabinet to topple over.
Jasper trembled as he picked up the frame.
In the photo, I was nestled in Jasper’s arms. It was our very first photo together, and you could tell Jasper was still a bit
reluctant.
“This is our first photo; it’s my treasure. I take it with me wherever I go.”
¿ words echoed in Jasper’s ears. I really did ……

My words echoed in Jasper’s ears. I really did take this frame even on trips.
Jasper smiled with relief. Since the frame was still there, I must not have left yet.
He eagerly went to the bedroom, wanting to find solace in my lingering scent.
But I had been gone too long, and the scent on the bed had faded.
So he opened the closet to find my clothes, only to discover that all my clothes were gone.
Then he checked the bathroom, where our paired toothbrushes and cups were now only his.
Panicked, he searched the entire house, finally finding only a farewell letter from me:
“I apologize on behalf of my mom. Would it ease your mind if I told you I’m not actually a blood member of Declan’s Family?”
“I don’t blame you for using me. From now on, let go of the resentment and be with the person you truly love!”
Jasper read those lines over and over, finally tearing them to shreds in a sudden frenzy.
“How could you leave me? I won’t let you go!”
