Chapter 7
Chad also got three years in jail because he
<
broke into my house and lied about me online.
Brittany cried and begged me to sign a letter. If
I did, Chad wouldn’t have to go to jail.
I smiled and tore up the letter.
Why would I let Chad go?
Brittany looked at me angrily.
“Amy, you’re destroying my family. I’m gonna
make you pay.”
I smirked.
“That’s your true nature. Whatever you want to
do is up to you. Let’s see what you’ve got.”
Last time around, because of Brittany, I had
died.
This time around, Brittany’s kid was still alive.
<
I still couldn’t let my guard down.
I brought a case against the complex and
everyone who had lied about me.
The people who had lied got their just rewards.
I finally started to feel better.
I didn’t think about it again, but Brittany got
even worse.
One day, I took the bus to work.
The bus was crowded, but I found a seat.
When we were close, a preggers person stood
beside me.
They had covered up with clothes.
Because she was preggers, I let her have my
seat.
<
Then the bus shook, and the preggers person
fell on me. They grabbed my clothes and said I
pushed them over.
I tried to explain, but the person looked like
Brittany.
I shook her off of me.
“Brittany, are you crazy? Why did you have to
follow me here?”
“Do you want to lose the kid? You’re too mean.
What are you going to do?”
But the accident made its way on the news.
Chapter 8
When it was almost time to leave, people
started sharing a video.
That video made its way onto the news.
When I clicked on it, I saw me and Brittany on
the bus.
It had been edited.
At first glance, it looked like I had pushed
Brittany over.
Everyone hated me for it.
[How could someone be mean to a mother?
Does she not have a mom?]
[She probably doesn’t. It’s not her fault. It must
be what’s gonna happen.]
[She was mean in high school. I hear she’s
mean to her friends. How disgusting.]
When I was leaving, everyone at work was
talking about me.
My friend sent me a message.
