Chapter 209
That evening. Din went to Lydia’s room
dinner
Carefully, he asked, “Mom, let me take you out for dann
Since he had secretly come to Darmechia, he felt guilty facing his parents.
Lydia snected, “Aren’t you supposed to be having dinner with Sienna? What are you doing here?”
Cain sighed. “ problem
“Mom, that sounds a linte harsh, You’re my mother–shouldn’t I have dinner with you! And even if I eat with Sienna, what’s the
He truly didn’t understand why, after just a short time away, both Joshua and Jamar, and even his mother, had suddenly changed their attitudes
Lydia was even more irritated by his obliviousness. “Then why don’t you go have dinner with Phoebel”
Cain scoffed, “Even if I did, would she even acknowledge me?”
At least he had enough self–awareness for that. “Mom, if you don’t want to eat. I’ll just go to the hospital and see Sienna”
In math, Cain had always planned to go to the hospital. He was just stopping by Lydia’s room as a courtesy.
Lydia immediately saw through his little act.
Fuming, she snapped. “What kind of spell has Sienna put on you?”
Cain sighed in frustration. “Mom, if you’re in a bad mood, take some time to calm down. But why are you taking it out on me and Siena? She’s injured and alone in the hospital. If you don’t feel bad for her and go visit, does that mean I can’t either?”
Lydia nearly choked on her anger
She pointed at the door and spat, “Fine, get lost! Go if you want to!“
To her shock, Cain grinned like he had just received royal permission. “Thanks, Mom! Then I’ll be on my way!”
With that, he bolted out of the room.
Lydia was so furious she nearly had a heart attack.
Still fuming, she had no appetite and simply sat there, stewing in her frustration.
At the hospital, Cain arrived at the hospital to stay with Sienna.
He even handed his hotel room key card to Ophelia’s personal assistant, telling her
t
He assured her that he would stay by Sienna’s sisle overnight.
Hay at the hotel instead
The assistant initially refused, but Cain was imsistent, leaving her no choice but to take the card and leave the hospital room.
After stepping out, she immediately called Lydia to inform her.
Lydia instructed her to return to the hotel and let Cain take care of Sienna.
Midnight, Lydia had tried to sleep early, but no matter how she tossed and turned, she couldn’t.
She got up and checked the time—it was already midnight.
After thinking for a moment, she called Josina and Jamar.
Both had gone to bed early out of boredom, since they didn’t have their usual entertainment apps.
Bot Lydia’s phone call dragged them out of bed.
Now hall–asteep and groggy, they had to get dressed and go pick up lydia before heading to the hospital together.
In the car, Joshua rubbed his sleep
sleepy eyes and yawned, “Mom, it’s the middle of the night. Why are we going to the hospital”
And why did she bring themtralong!

Jamar yawned as well. “Yeah, couldn’t we just go in the morning“”
Lydia’s expression was grim. “Cain insisted on staying at the hospital overnight and sent my assistant back to the hotel. I suddenly felt like checki in on him and Sienna.
Her words woke Joshua and Jamar up immediately. “Check on Cain and Sienna? What does that mean?”
Now that she mentioned it, they were also curious about how exactly Cain was “staying overnight to take care of Sienna.”
At the hospital room, when they arrived, the three of them didn’t knock
Lydia gave Joshua a look, and he immediately reached for the door handle
Sure enough–the door was unlocked.
Even though it was nighttime, the moonlight streamed through the window, making the room not too dark.
The three of them quietly entered, expecting to see Cain sleeping in a chair or on a makeshift bed on the floor.
But Cain was nowhere in sight.
Jamar scanned the room, and when his eyes landed on the hospital bed, he froze.
Eyes widening, he quickly grabbed Joshua’s sleeve and pointed toward the bed.
Joshua turned to look—and his jaw nearly dropped. “No way. this isn’t what I think it is… right?”
Their reactions were so obvious that Lydia noticed and followed their gaze.
The next moment, her expression darkened.
She strode over and switched on the room’s overhead light.
Then, without hesitation, she pulled out her phone, turned on the camera, and started recording.
The room instantly lit up revealing Cain and Sienna tangled together in bed.
Jamar and Joshua were speechless
Lydia held up her phone and kept recording.
She thought, ‘No wonder Cain insisted on staying at the hospital, sent my assistant away, and stubbornly took over the night shift. So this is how he takes care of her!
Watching the two of them like this, Jamar and Joshua felt deeply uncomfortable.
On the hospital bed, the sudden brightness jolted Sienna awake.
She linked bleary, about to lash h out–thinking it was a nurse turning on the light.
But when she saw three people standing at the foot of the bed, her face paled.
She instantly scrambled away from Cain and even shoved him aside.
Her panicked movements did not go unnoticed by Lydia, whose expression turned even darker.
Cain, already waking up from the light, was showed again by Sienna.
Groggily, he mumbled, “What’s wrong!
When he fully opened his eyes and saw the three figures standing in the room, his drowsiness evaporated instantly.
He shot right, his words stumbling. “You…you… why are you here?
Lydia was so furious that she felt like her head was going to explode. She stuffed her phone into her pocket, then scanned the room.
In the corner, she spotted a broom.
Without hesitation, she stored over, grabbed it, and marched toward Cain
She swung the broom at him. “Why am I bere! If I hadn’t come, I would still be in the dark about this nonsense!”

Her voice rose sharply, full of rage. “This is what you call ‘taking care of Sienna?! You sent my assistant away so you could pull this??”
She lull originally only felt a hunch to come check on thei
After all, Cain had insisted on staying personally sending away her assistant so he could “take care of Sienna.
Her curiosity had led her here.
But never in her wildest thoughts had she expected to see this.
At that moment, all the etiquette and dignity Lydia had ever learned flew out the window. She couldn’t hold back anymore.
