Chapter 234
Phoebe was still awake when Frank sent the video.
The moment she played it, she was shocked by how bold Sienna was acting.
Was this really the same Sienna who always played the role of an innocent, obedient little girl in front of these dumbasses?
It was obvious–if Leon had taken the bait, Sienna would’ve gone all the way.
Just as Phoebe had suspected before, Sienna treated these idiots more like her men rather than just brothers, which explained her extreme possessiveness.
Seeing Leon’s message in the chat, Phoebe sent a voice note.
Phoebe: [I watched the video. You were likely under the influence of a Charming Talisman. Normally, this kind of talisman doesn’t work when used directly by an ordinary person. When you entered the room, did you smell anything–like sandalwood?]
Leon thought back and replied with a voice message:
Leon: [Yeah. I never burn incense, but when I walked in, I noticed a faint sandalwood scent.]
Phoebe was sharp–she could figure it out just from that.
Phoebe: Then that explains it. When a special incense is combined with a Charming Talisman, it can manipulate a person’s mind. The effect doesn’t last long, but it’s enough to achieve her goal.
Leon: [Can she use another talisman on me again?]
Phoebe: [Of course she can. As long as she still has the special incense and talismans, she can keep using them. But these talismans have a limitation —they only work through physical contact. So be careful and avoid touching her. Though… she loves tripping, “accidentally” falling, and conveniently landing in someone’s arms, so good luck dodging that.]
The Jenkins brothers were speechless.
So all those times Sienna had “accidentally fallen“—they had been acts?
No wonder it happened so often, and recently, almost every day. Phoebe had seen through her completely.
Leon: (Did we spoil her all these years because we were under some kind of spell?]
Phoebe’s scornful voice came through:
Phoebe: [Are you guys serious? Stop trying to make excuses for your stupidity and blindness. If she were that powerful, she wouldn’t have needed incense and a talisman to mess with you. You pampered her for over ten years and got burned–this is all on you.]
What a joke. These dumbasses were actually looking for an excuse for their past behavior
Did they think that would somehow make them feel better about being idiots?
Brenda chimed in with her own voice message, full of disdain. [Self–deception isn’t gonna work. You guys were just dumb, so stop trying to blame Sienna for everything.]
Frank immediately typed in the chat, [Sienna: You were all just stupid–I’m not taking the blame for this one. Thanks.]
The Jenkins brothers were speechless. This was embarrassing.
Leon, knowing he couldn’t argue with Phoebe or Brenda, redirected his frustration at Frank instead:
Leon: (Frank, what does this have to do with you? Go wash up and sleep. Stop adding to the chaos.]
This bastard was the worst–he was just siding with Brenda to gang up on him.
Frank [Can’t sleep. I just wanna watch the drama. And I gotta say, that was one hell of a show earlier. You’re pretty lucky, Leon. Why didn’t you just go with the flow? That’s not like you]
After all, among the three of them, only Frank and Reece had never been with a woman.
Leon on the other hand, didn’t do relationships or girlfriends, but he changed partners frequently.
This guy was far from innocent.

And let’s be real–if Leon hadn’t told Sienna those things before, she wouldn’t have come to seduce him today.
Leon was speechless. Some best friend this was–more like a backstabbing traitor.
Saying “that’s not like you“-what the hell was that supposed to mean?
Was he implying Leon had no standards?
Leon: [I don’t want that kind of “luck.” If you’re interested, she’s all yours. And stop twisting things–I’m a decent guy.]
He still wanted to maintain some dignity in front of Phoebe and Brenda.
Frank saw right through him.
Frank: [Come on, man. You lost your “decent guy” image with them a long time ago. Stop pretending.]
Then, he took the chance to make himself look good in front of Brenda:
Frank: [Reece and I are still pure. Unlike you, who’s been around the block.]
Reece: [Yeah, Leon, you should at least be self–aware about your reputation.]
He quickly added for Phoebe’s benefit. [Frank and I have never messed around. Unlike someone who’s had way too many partners. If you hadn’t known about Sienna’s tricks beforehand, you definitely would’ve fallen for it today.]
Leon was speechless. These two bastards were shameless.
Why did they have to drag him down just to make themselves look good?
Leon: [If you two were that innocent, why do you always hang out with someone like me?]
Then, he turned the tables on them. [Frank, where’s Edith? Didn’t you used to take her everywhere?]
Leon: [Reece, you used to meet Sienna in private all the time. Shouldn’t today’s “lucky moment” have been yours instead? Sienna’s been drooling over you for years.]
Frank: [Get lost. Your mouth is pure evil.]
Recce: [Lies and slander–you need to shut up.]
They couldn’t let Brenda and Phoebe misunderstand them!
Phoebe: [You’re all scumbags. Same breed.]
Brenda: [Yeah, none of you are any good. But watching you fight is pretty entertaining.]
Phoebe: [Please, continue.]
The three men fell silent.
Frank, annoyed at the chaos, tried to steer the conversation back.
Frank: [Let’s focus. Phoebe, if Sienna had successfully taken half of Leon’s luck, what would’ve happened?]`
Phoebe: [Within seven days, he’d start getting unlucky–tripping while walking, choking on water, everything going wrong at work and in life. He might get hit by a car, slip down the stairs, or even have a flowerpot fall on his head while walking down the street. Things like that would happen every month. Losing half his luck wouldn’t kill him immediately, but it would be miserable–one day, he breaks an arm in an accident; the next, he gets hit by another car and breaks a leg.]
And if he kept losing more luck over time, it would even shorten his lifespan.
Leon swallowed hard. Leon: [It’s that serious?]
Good thing he had that talisman. Otherwise, he’d be screwed.
Just hearing Phoebe describe it was terrifying.
Frank sent a message in the group. [RIP, Leon.]
Reece followed up. Reece: [Stay strong.]
Leon: (I didn’t get cursed, dumbasses, What are you mourning for?]

Frank: [If Leon hadn’t refused and actually went through with it, would anything have happened?]
Phoebe: [If they had slept together, the curse would have strengthened. Even if Leon refused to lend his luck, Sienna could still drain it from him, just like Edith does to you.]
And if she ever got kicked out of the Jenkins family, she’d 100% use this against him to blackmail and manipulate him.
She then added: [Leon, the only reason you’re safe today is because you chickened out. Otherwise, your brothers would be lighting candles for you right now.)
She definitely didn’t believe Leon was some noble gentleman.
