Chapter 417
Leon “Why are you looking at us like that?” Leon asked, thinking if
and the other two felt uneasy under Cain’s lingering gi Cain was eyeing their emerald talismans again.
They had been keeping an eye on everything happening on Twitter, Cain put on a pitiful expression as he looked at the three of them.
“Leon, Joshua, Jamar, now that Sienna has moved out, she won’t affect your luck anymore. How about rotating your emerald talismans and letting me borrow them for a while?” He decided to target all three since directly taking one was out of the question.
Leon chuckled and said, “Although Sienna moved out, who knows if she’ll suddenly come after us? You’re stuck at home and the rehab center every day–you’re the safest one.” He had no intention of lending it to Cain. It felt like there was no chance of returning it.
Joshua and Jamar both agreed, “Exactly, Cain. Right now, you’re the safest one. Plus, Sienna’s already targeted you, so there’s no way she’ll come after you again. Don’t even think about borrowing our emerald talismans.”
Cain’s face darkened. “Are we not even real brothers anymore? Wearing the talisman might bring me better luck and make things smoother.”
Leon stood up. “We could always sever ties, you know.”
Joshua said,
in, this emerald talisman is as important to me as my life. If you want it, you are trying to take my life. If that’s the case, I wouldn’t mind cutting ties either.”
Jamar added, “I’m on the same page with them. He thought, ‘Cain wants to use brotherly bonds as leverage? What a pipe dream. Do he think we’re the kind of people who can be morally blackmailed?
Cain fell silent, heartbroken. “I’ll remember this!” He snorted. From then on, when something good came his way, he wouldn’t share it with them.

The three didn’t care at all. Leon turned to the others and said, “By the way. I’ll be away for a while. You’ll need to take care of Mom while I’m gone.”
He had previously tolerated it, thinking Lydia was their mother and urging them to accompany her for meals. But now, he had enough.
Not only did she constantly scold them, but for some reason, she even asked them to take better care of Sienna. When they saw Sienna, they could barely avoid her, let alone take care of her.
Sienna had no shame at all. At first, she acted arrogantly toward them, noticing how they all seemed uninterested and distant. Occasionally, she would purposely taunt them a bit, but oddly enough, it only made them feel relieved.
However, in the past few days, Sienna seemed to have realized that her tactic of playing hard to get wasn’t working on them. Therefore, she started changing tactics, becoming clingy and complaining about her situation.
She even went as far as to say her money had been stolen, subtly implying that she wanted them to help her out financially.
Leon knew Lydia had been providing Sienna with financial support lately. He couldn’t understand why Sienna needed so much money, but he would not be the one footing the bill. He had been concerned about Lydia before, but now, after feeling betrayed by her, he was hurt.
Since Lydia constantly called them ungrateful, he decided to embrace it. She accused them of being. It was better than carrying that title every day.
Therefore, he planned to leave for a while to get some distance from Lydia and Sienna, who had now started to take a soft approach. He would leave those two to his brothers to deal with.

Hearing Leon’s words, Joshua immediately added. T’ve got to focus on writing new songs, so I’ll stay at the studio. The responsibility of dining with Mom is on you. Ollic, Cain, Jamar. He couldn’t take it anymore and wouldn’t entertain it

Jamar was annoyed by how quickly the other two managed to escape. “I’ve got to start filming in a couple of days, so it looks like the responsibility falls entirely on Ollie and Cain. He resigned himself to the fact–if that meant being seen as unfilial, then so be it
Cain’s face darkened even further. “My back’s been bothering me, and I’ve already arranged to stay at the rehab center starting tomorrow.”
He had no intention of taking care of Lydia while being sick. Therefore, he decided to join the team as well. He then looked over at Ollie, who was sitting across from him. “Ollie, taking care of Mom is now your task.”
Lydia constantly scolded them but was always exceptionally kind to Ollie. She often compared them to Ollie, praising him for being so wonderful while belittling them as worthless and unfilial. Since that was the case, they decided to let Ollie take on the responsibility of showing filial piety and caring for her.
The three quickly warmed to the idea. Since Lydia didn’t like them, they decided it would be best for her to focus on her favorite son and spend time with him instead.
“Mom always values Ollie the most. If we go to accompany her, it’ll just make her angry and ruin her mood.”
“But if Ollie goes, Mom will be much happier, and her appetite will increase.”
“Ollie is the eldest and the heir. He’s the one who will inherit the majority of the Jenkins family’s assets, so it’s only right that he spends more time with Mom.”
“Before, Ollie didn’t spend enough time with Mom, so now it’s time for him to make up for it.”
Ollie looked at his brothers, who had suddenly united against him, feeling speechless. “Is it necessary?” he asked.
He thought, ‘What’s the big deal with a son accompanying his mother for a meal? Why does everyone look so eager to run away?”
The four of them, including Leon, nodded in unison. “Yes, it’s necessary.”
Leon walked up to Ollie and patted his shoulder. “Ollie, looks like it’s up to you now.”
Joshua sighed in relief. “Ollie, from now on, the Queen is all yours to take care of.” At last, they no longer had to face their increasingly complex and mean mother.
Ollie raised an eyebrow. “Queen?”
Jamar replied, “It was Leon’s idea, but we all think it fits perfectly.”
Cain smiled. “Ollie, you’ll understand soon enough”
Lydia had gotten used to venting her frustrations by scolding them. They could only tolerate it for so long. Over time, when she couldn’t find anyone else to vent on, Ollie, the oldest, would become the perfect target. Cain didn’t believe Ollie would be able to endure it for long.
Ollie couldn’t shake the feeling that his younger brothers were up to no good. He shrugged. “If you all want to go out or do something, you don’t need to tell me. Just talk to Mom about it. Of course, if she asks me to accompany her, I’ll do it without hesitation.”
Leon patted Ollie on the shoulder again, giving him a meaningful smile. “Your words are enough.” It wasn’t just Lydia- Sienna, that troublemaker, who would also be Ollie’s responsibility.
