Harrison’s living room was spotless, with a few scattered documents on the coffee table.
After Gwyneth stepped inside, Harrison didn’t say a single word. The room fell into an add, heavy silence.
They could still hear faint rustling sounds outside. A few moments later, everything went quiet.
Zachary and Bella must’ve finally left. Gwyneth let out a small breath of relief.
Then Harrison suddenly asked. “Do you care about them?”
“No.” Gwyneth answered without thinking. She turned to face him and met his deep, unreadable gaze. His eyes were like a still, dark lake- impossible to tell what he was thinking.
They locked eyes again, and the silence returned.
Gwyneth couldn’t shake the strange feeling in the air. Harrison still didn’t say anything else, and she didn’t want her mess with Zachary to gossip, so she came up with a quick reuse and left.
Back in her own apartment, she leaned against the door, wondering why Harrison was living across the hall.

Gwyneth sighed. Flynn Group just wouldn’t go away. She glanced down at the faint red marks on her arm from where Zachary had grabbed her. frowning slightly.
[Pass the deal to Melanie and Quentin, she replied.
Melanie had nothing on her plate after Gwyneth took her last project. She’d probably jump at the chance for this one
As for Gwyneth, she had no intention of getting tangled up with Zachary ever again.
Flora got the message loud and clear. She sent over a few files and got to work right away.
Early the next morning, Gwyneth got up, went through her usual routine, and headed to work at Jenkins Group right on time.

Harrison stepped out in a charcoal–gray suit with a deep blue tie. His hair was perfectly styled, and the morning light softened the sharp lines of his face. His deep gaze landed on Gwyneth.
“I’m headed the same way. Let me give you a ride,” he offered.
Gwyneth didn’t turn him down right away. “Sure. Thanks”
Harrison didn’t say anything else. He walked straight to the elevator and walted for her.
Neither of them brought up the awkward silence from the night before. Gwyneth followed him into the elevator, and the two of them headed down to the underground garage together.
Harrison’s car pulled up smoothly in front of Jenkins Group. Since they weren’t in a rush, he stayed in the car to watch her go.
“Thanks,” Gwyneth said with a small smile as she stepped out

After getting shut down again and again since last night, Zachary looked furious. “Gwyneth, you did that on purpose”
“Harrison doesn’t want to see you,” she said flatly and walked away
