Chapter 72
Gwyneth lowered her head, gazing at the wound Harrison had personally bandaged. For a moment, her mind drifted off.
The
property manager of Teloria Apartment called and said, “As per Mr. Lopez’s request, we’ve installed full–coverage surveillance in the corridor and deployed additional security personnel to ensure your safety.”
The property management in the upscale neighborhood was always polite and calm under pressure. But these few short sentences made them noticeably stumble. Finally, they indirectly added a few more words, essentially asking her and Harrison not to make things difficult for them
Turning her head, she could still see Harrison’s imposing silhouette as he exchanged hushed words with Clyde.
“Don’t let that lunatic set foot in the penthouse again. Gwyneth ordered curtly, and hung up.
She couldn’t help but wonder, what on earth did Harrison do to the property staff while I was getting bandaged to make them so cautious all of a
sudden
A moment later, Harrison returned. Just as Gwyneth was about to ask him something, he sat down beside her, frowning, bringing with him the mingled scents of ointment and perfume that lingered in the air between them.
Harrison said, “There’s an important party tomorrow night where the Lopez family is expected. Most of our relatives and friends will be attending, J’d like you to be,there as Mrs. Lopez.”
Though the wedding ceremony hadn’t taken place yet, bringing his legitimate wife to such a high–profile event was Harrison’s way of making an official statement. The position of Mrs. Lopez was firmly occupied, so all those underhanded schemes could stop now.
Gwyneth knew the unwritten rules of high society all too well. Besides, she’d mentioned owing Harrison a favor. Till be there on time, she replied.
“Rest at home until the party. Clyde will deliver your gown, Harrison said, holding back the rest. He didn’t want her running around with that wound.
Gwyneth gave a languid nod and followed Harrison back to Teloria Apartment. The bloodstains in the penthouse corridor had been thoroughly cleaned. Several security guards stood with their heads lowered on either side of the elevator, ensuring her safety.
Harrison escorted Gwyneth all the way home. As the door closed behind her, she traced her fingers over her wound, a cold glint flickering in her
eyes.
Bella would even self–harm just to frame me for Zachary, while that idiot Zachary danced to her tune like a puppet,
“These two are nothing but ticking time bombs–neglecting their duties and constantly entangled in personal drama. The sooner I deal with them, the better, Gwyneth thought. Without hesitation, she pulled up Victor’s contact and, using a pseudonym, sent him a message.
Gwyneth meticulously reported all of Zachary’s property acquisitions in Jorbcity and his repeated contacts with the Jenkins Group, detailing each instance. Finally, she sent an anonymous tip. [The Galvocity Mall project—a joint venture between the Lopez Group and Jenkins Group–remains pending
Before Victor could summon Zachary back for questioning, disturbing news began circulating through Flynn Group.
Flynn Group’s collaboration got snatched–likely the Lopez family’s doing.
Our bid was flat–out rejected–clearly a deliberate move. Rumor has it the Lopez family personally called to give the order just half an hour ago.] [All these deals are connected to Mr. Flynn.]
News spread like wildfire–not only did Victor, the patriarch in charge, find out, but several shareholders and relatives also time, everyone realized it was Zachary who lead provoked the Lopez family.

Victor frowned deeply and sent someone to investigate. His assistant came running back, panting heavily, “Mr. Victor Flynn, Mr. Zachary Flynn and Ms. Emerson are living together at the property in Joracity”
