Chapter 17 It Makes You Look Unmanly
Halsey did not even look at her. He said coldly, “You said such hurtful words to Robin. He doesn’t want to see you.”
Margot sneered inwardly and thought, Robin is heartbroken because I said I didn’t want a child like him?
Then, why didn’t Robin think about how I felt when he used to say I was embarrassing myself?
Margot did not want to implicate Robin in her and Halsey’s problems. After all, he was still a child and could not make any decisions
yo…
She said, “Our divorce is a matter between the two of us. Halsey, can you stop nagging? It makes you look unmanly.” Halsey stopped tidying his collar. His dark eyes landed on her face, and an unknown pressure enveloped her.
Margot realized she had said something wrong. She still braced herself and said, “I realized our married life is not
harmonious from my observations over the past few days, so I speculate I was unhappy before I lost my memory. So, let’s get a divorce and stop pestering each other.”
She was unhappy in the past? Huch! thought Halsey after he heard her words.
Halsey’s thin lips curled into a faint mocking smile.
“We’ll talk about that after you regain your memory,” said Halsey.
Then he left
Margot stood rooted to the ground in a daze. She thought, What does his expression mean? Does he think I am lying? Or, does he think I am living happily? It is hilarious!
Is it a blessing for me to be treated as a substitute and despised by my husband and son? Does he think becoming his wife is the best thing in the world?
Please! I’m the daughter of the Hudson family, okay? My life was truly blissful
Delore marrying him.
Margot was outraged but had nowhere to vent her anger. She stomped her feet on the spot, turned around, and left the bedroom to go downstairs.
She came to the living room just in time to see Robin coming back from school. Robin was in his kindergarten uniform and had a straight body. His tender facial features were similar to Halsey’s, especially his big eyes, which had the same coldness and rationality.
He did not look like a five–year–old child.
“Grandma” Robin greeted Jocelyn.
Then, he saw Margot. He frowned and immediately looked away as if he did not see her.
You brat, thought Margot.
Margot walked down and looked at Jocelyn, saying, “You should have heard what I said. What do you think?”
Jocelyn said, “That’s between you and Halsey. I won’t participate”
Margot resisted the urge to roll her eyes. She was frustrated.
What are the members of the Greene family thinking? Jocelyn dislikes me. She should have agreed to it since I said I wanted
a divorce. Why does she throw the question back? thought Margot.
Margot gritted her teeth and looked at Robin. “Robin, I’ll divorce your father. Do you agree?”
“Margut Hudson Jocelyn’s cold voice suddenly sounded.
She was displeased.

Margot said, “Halsey said we have to tell Robin about it because he’s also a part of our family.”
Robin’s eyes widened slightly. “You want to divorce Dad?”
It was the first thing he’d said to Margot since he’d walked through the door. He hadn’t even called her Mom..
Margot nodded. “Yes. I don’t like your father,
so I plan to get a divorce.”
“Are you kidding?” said Robin.
Robin looked at her in disbelief, thinking she was crazy.
