Chapter 22 His Terms Are Tempting
Howard was overjoyed when he heard the news. Tears even welled up in his eyes. Shawne was his most beloved grandson but had been battling depression. Over the years, he had tried numerous methods to treat him, but all had been futile.
Taking a deep breath, Howard said. “Miss Magnolia, you have done me a huge favor. This is a small token of my gratitude, you must accept it.”
The butler clapped his hands just as he finished speaking, and the door opened. A line of servants entered, each carrying a tray full of treasures.
The trays contained exquisite emerald jewelry, dazzling pearl necklaces, collector–grade gemstones, renowned paintings, and a ten–million–dollar check. Witnessing this scene, Margot silently suppressed her emotions, berating herself.
What have I accomplished in the past five years? If I hadn’t vanished for five years, my wealth could already buy out the Greene Group!
Despite her emotion, she remained composed and said, “Mr. Cole, I didn’t expect my fragrance to have such an effect on Mr. Shawne Cole. He’s now considered my ambassador. These gifts are too valuable; I can’t accept them.”
Howard frowned, saying, “Did you think they were not good enough? I can prepare another batch.”
“No, that’s not what I meant… Margot quickly shook her head.
Howard said firmly, Then take them. Miss Magnolia, my only wish at this old age is for my children and grandchildren to be safe and healthy. These are just material things. Their greatest value is in buying health for my family.”
Unable to refuse his heartfelt insistence, Margot accepted the gifts. Howard ordered the items to be packed and sent to her car, then said. “Enjoy my birthday party tonight. If you need anything, just let the butler know.”
Margot smiled and said, “Alright Howard then went to check on Shawne, and Margot turned to leave.
The news of her fragrance’s success had already spread throughout the banquet hall. As Margot descended from upstairs, members of the wealthy and influential families eagerly approached to speak with her. Maggie blocked their way and handled the crowd on her behalf.
At the lounge area, Margot sat down and helped herself with desserts. Things are progressing smoothly. Once Miss Magnolia’s reputation spreads. Grandma will surely hear about it and feel proud. Thinking of her grandmother, Margot felt a pang of guilt. She promised once she made a name for herself, she would make amends with her grandmother.
At that moment, a tall, dignified figure approached. Halsey held a wine glass in his elegant hand and sat beside her without hesitation. Margot rolled her eyes deep down. This damned man again! Why is he so persistent?
“Fifty million dollars,” Halsey said flatly. “Sell me your fragrance. Before she could get up to leave, he dropped the bombshell

Stopping in her tracks, Margot turned to him and asked knowingly. “Do you need it so badly?”
Halsey said calmly. “Furthermore, I am willing to establish a long–term partnership with Miss Magnolia. If there is anyone you would like to connect with, I can facilitate that. As for the profit–sharing ratio after the deal, you can set the terms.” He was making his biggest concession to secure a collaboration with her.
Her fragrance was extraordinary, and she unlikely could produce it in large quantities. The ingredients of her fragrance must be rare and exclusive, meaning it would only be available to people of high status, further boosting her reputation and profit
His offer was highly tempting, one that anyone else would consider carefully. However, Margot rejected it outright. “I can sell you the fragrance, but a long–term partnership is out of the question
She had been wanting a divorce from him for some time. Would they not see each other frequently if they entered a long- term partnership? How annoying!“How annoying!
