Maggie had been keeping an eye on the surveillance and immediately informed Margot when she noticed Halsey leaving with his people. Margot heaved a sigh of relief, as though she had narrowly escaped a disaster, and the overwhelming sense
of survival filled her.
She pressed the voice message button and said. “You know? I was so scared that I broke out in a cold sweat. I need to take a shower now. That bastard is too dangerous; I must divorce him!”
Maggie responded helplessly, “It’s not just about the divorce. You’ve just shut that door on yourself for the little momentum you gained in the market this time”
Margot was lost for words and said, “I’m going to take a shower now.”
One problem resolves, another awaits. Sigh…

After taking her shower, Margot lay on her bed, her mood had calmed down. She needed to plan how to expedite the divorce. Whether the Hudson family agreed or not, she did not care. No one could stop her from getting that divorce. While she was mulling it over, her phone rang. She picked it up and saw that Halsey was calling again. Does he ever stop? Margot directly declined the call, but he kept calling persistently. Feeling annoyed and sensing something foreboding, she reluctantly answered, “What do you want?”
Halsey’s low, magnetic voice was as cold as frost. “Robin is having a fever. Come to the Greene residence immediately.” Hearing his words, Margot felt a dull ache in her chest, and almost instinctively, she jumped out of bed, ready to rush out, But halfway, she stopped.
She had lost her memory and no longer remembered her feelings for Robin. To her now, Robin was just a stranger. Forcing herself to suppress the pain in her heart, she said, “What good does it do if I go over? Isn’t there a doctor at the residence?”
Halsey’s tone turned icy when he said, “Margot, you are Robin’s mother. He’s sick and vulnerable right now. He needs his mother.
Margot feit as if her heart was gripped by a giant hand, making it hard for her to breathe. Even though she had told herself repeatedly to let them go, Robin was the child she had conceived and given birth to after ten months of hardship. Even if he had always been distant and cold toward her, he was still the treasure she held dear to her heart..
Closing her eyes briefly, she said, “But I’ve forgotten how to take care of him.”
Halsey replied. Just come Then he hung up.
Margot clutched her phone tightly, her face pale. She quickly changed and went downstairs.
The Hudson family villa was silent as she chose one of her father’s cars from the garage and sped off. The city was quiet late
at night, and traffic was sparse. She raced to the Greene residence’s main entrance in no time.
Before getting
out of the car, she gave herself a pep talk. I can’t show any Maws, not even a little. This would be the last time!
After getting out of the car, her expression was already composed. She rang the doorbell, and shortly after, the heavy black- and–gold gate slowly opened. She walked inside.
However, she noticed a white car parked at the entrance of the villa. It looked unfamiliar, not like one belonging to the Greene family. However, she did not dwell on it.
When she entered the villa, the butler saw her and was stunned. He said, “Madam, you’re here.” The butler’s eyes flickered.
Margot nodded. “Yes Halsey says Robin is having a fever and asks me to come. Where are they?”
The butler’s eyes flickered, and he said, coughing, “Upstairs.”

Margot felt the butler was acting strange, but she did not take it seriously. She climbed the stairs and spotted an open door. Walking toward it, her expression was calm. But when she stepped inside and saw the scene in the room, her composure nearly shattered.
