As soon as Ladonna heard Cedric’s voice, she grabbed his wrist, agitated. “Where’s Izabella? Cedric, how is she?”
He glanced at her hand on his wrist, and his mood lifted instantly. A barely noticeable smile appeared at the corner of his lips.
“She’s fine. She’s resting now. Don’t worry.”
He frowned in displeasure when his gaze dropped to her bare feet.
Without saying more, he suddenly held her in his arms and walked over to the bed.
“What are you doing?” Ladonna thought he was up to something. But before she could resist, Cedric simply set her down and put shoes onto
her feet.
Watching him quietly help her, Ladonna felt quite surprised.
If others knew the ruthless man was helping her wear shoes, they’d be completely shocked.
Her mind flashed back to that night before she left and what happened
between them.
Her cheeks flushed. She bit her lip, suddenly feeling awkward.
“What’s wrong? Feeling shy now?”
He smirked as he had read her mind without looking up.
Cedric would only show this kind of smile when Ladonna was around.

“What are you talking about? I don’t get it!” Ladonna raised her voice in a weak attempt to cover her embarrassment.
Cedric didn’t mind. Instead, he gently lifted her chin, forcing her to meet his eyes.
“That night, you were the one who turned me on. Have you forgotten it already? Or … do you want me to help you remember?”
His dark and intense gaze slowly swept over her.
“You. You’re so shameless!” Ladonna covered her chest, trying to push him away.
Instead of backing off, he leaned in even closer.
“Shameless? That’s all it takes to shock you? Ladonna, you really have no experience.” With that, his arm slid around her waist.
She lost her balance and fell back. As he moved in on her, she forgot to fight back.
She shivered as his warm breath brushed her ear. Her restless movements only made his breathing heavier.
He pinned her wrist, held her close, and kissed her hard.
The kiss was hot and forceful, leaving her no chance to resist. She struggled, but he didn’t let go.
But she felt cool air touching her warın body. She trembled at the sudden
contrast.
Cedric sensed it and quickly pulled the blanket over them. She could feel his erection against her.

Corbin stood there, holding a doll in her arms. He said with joy, “Daddy, Mommy! Izabella is awake!”
The next second, his smile faded into confusion. He looked around the room. No one was in sight.

He let out a low sigh and reluctantly stopped.
After all, that was his son.
Ladonna flushed and pushed him lightly, annoyed and embarrassed.
She had heard what Corbin said loud and clear.
Izabella was the one she most wanted to see right now.
Cedric seemed to understand what she wanted. He lifted the blanket, looked at Corbin, and said, “Go check on Izabella. I have something to say to your Mommy. We’ll be there soon.“.
