Chapter 22 The Fight
Like father, like son. Corbin was as stubborn as Cedric.
Seeing that Corbin wouldn’t admit his mistake, Cedric was disappointed. He reached out to press Corbin’s shoulders and frowned.
“Corbin, I’ve asked you so many times. Don’t you plan to tell me the truth? Are you still my son?”
Corbin pressed his lips sadly and tried hard to hold back his tears. “You’re a bad daddy. I don’t like you. Let go of me. Let go.”
As he spoke, Corbin started to struggle to break free from Cedric.
Enraged, Cedric couldn’t help but tighten his grip. When he saw Corbin’s tearful eyes, he realized he had gone too far.
Cedric hastily withdrew his hand. Corbin broke free and pushed Cedric away, running out of the study.
When he opened the door, Corbin bumped into an embrace.
Ladonna was waiting for them to come out and have breakfast together, but then she heard the father and son have a fight.
Although she didn’t think she was in a position to intervene, she went upstairs with concern when hearing Corbin’s hoarse voice.
When she got to the study and was about to knock, the door was opened from inside.
Corbin threw himself into Ladonna’s arms. When he smelled the familiar scent, he felt relieved.

Corbin cried hard for the first time. Ladonna held him in her arms with heartache and looked up into Cedric’s eyes.
There was anger on Cedric’s face, but he looked helplessly at Corbin.
He sighed slightly and waved at Ladonna, beckoning her to take Corbin
away.
Ladonna didn’t ask any questions. She lifted Corbin and carried him to her room.
After she closed the door, Ladonna stroked Corbin’s head affectionately and asked in a tender voice.
“What on earth happened? You’re such a sweet baby. Why did you suddenly bicker with your daddy? Can you tell me about it? If your daddy did something wrong, I’ll scold him for you.”
Corbin sobbed, not able to say anything. His eyes reddened, and he looked at Ladonna, shedding tears.
It pained Ladonna to see that. She again hugged Corbin tightly in her arms and said helplessly.
“Honestly, your dad knew you were just a child, but he talked to you in a harsh tone. Couldn’t he speak gently? Look how hurt you feel now.”
At this moment, Ladonna held the small boy in her arms like his mother.
In the end, Corbin cried and fell asleep in her embrace.
Ladonna carefully put Corbin on the bed and tucked him in, touching his
cheeks.
Tears streaked his face, which looked pitiful.
Ladonna sighed helplessly and got up to open the door.

A hint of confusion flashed across her eyes, and Ladonna frowned, trying to say something. Afraid to wake up Corbin, she closed the door quietly.
They went to the study, and Ladonna asked, “What on earth happened? Why did you suddenly snarl at Corbin?”
Opening his mouth slightly, Cedric wanted to say something, but in the end, he shook his head slightly and asked awkwardly, “How is Corbin?”
“You have the nerve to ask. He’s been crying. He cried and fell asleep in my arms. What’s wrong with you? How did you treat the child like that?”
