After I was done with the board I did a little victory dance in the office with my dad.
“How did you manage to pull this off?” he asked me happily.
I shrugged, “It wouldn’t have been possible without the help of Tristan. He’s the one who arranged everything.”
My dad nodded, “Well, I’m glad you have him then.”
Later that day we went back home together and my dad told her everything that
happened at the office.

I grinned, “Daddy, don’t give me too much credit.”
My mom smiled, “I’m happy too, Rose, it’s your birthright. Now, let’s celebrate over a meal.”
Just then my phone rang and I excused myself to answer the call. It was an unknown number. “Hello, who is this?” I asked.
Tristan’s smooth voice sounded over the receiver, “Princess, you left me hanging. What time an I picking you up?”
I smiled when I realized it was him.
“How did you get my number, I can’t remember giving it to you,” I said.

I sighed, “Alright, fine. You did lead us to victory today so you deserve a reward. Let’s go fo dinner.”
“It’s a date. I’ll come pick you up at seven,” he said.
“Alright,” I agreed and ended the call.
When I turned my parents were standing behind me I almost fainted from fright.
“Mom, Dad, you’re gonna give me a heart attack!” I groaned.

I groaned, “It’s just dinner with Tristan.”
Who happens to be the man you’re getting married to,” my dad said.

My parents followed me as I went upstairs to my bedroom and they threw open my closet.
“We’ve dreamed of this day for years,” my mom said.

I stared at my parents, they looked so excited as they brought out various outfits on my bed. I realized I’ve robbed them of a lot of things. We arrived at the restaurant and it was a rooftop dinner. The setting was so beautiful, it brought tears to my eyes.
