The butler’s expression changed abruptly. “Mr. Seth, this wedding dress is the Garners’ family heirloom. Only the brides of the family can wear—”

Ashley suddenly started crying. “Just as I expected, you’re far more manipulative than I am! As soon as you came, even the servants started to speak to me like this…”

Seth pointed at the butler and demanded angrily, “Are you going to disobey me? Get Ash’s measurements first!”

I took a deep breath. “No.”

The wedding date for Ryan and me was already rushed as it was. I had no time for their antics. I reached out to take the wedding dress back.

However, before I could even touch it, Ashley suddenly screamed and fell backward. She tumbled down the stairs.

Ashley lay at the foot of the stairs, blood trickling down her forehead.

She was as pale as a sheet, and she pointed a trembling finger at me. “You… why did you push me?”

Seth immediately ran downstairs to pick her up. He ran outside without looking back, screaming her name, “Ash!”

Ashley had put on clumsy acts like that many times in the past, but Seth always believed her.

I sighed and got ready to leave, but my phone suddenly started vibrating. It was a message from Ryan, telling me that he was waiting for me at our usual spot.

My mood lifted at once, and even my footsteps seemed lighter.

However, just as I walked out of the front doors of Garner Manor, Seth yanked me into his car.

I frowned. “What are you doing?”

I struggled and tried to get out of the car, but he pinned me down hard. “Ash is bleeding. Go and give her a blood transfusion.”

“Are you crazy?” I cried out.

“That little scratch of hers has probably already healed before we even get to the hospital! Let me out of this car!”

When Seth saw that I had taken out my phone and was about to make a call, he grabbed it and tossed it out of the window. “Luna, you’ve married me like you wanted to. Why did you do this to Ash?”

The car was about to move, so I shouted, “Seth! I faint at the sight of blood, and I’m anemic! I’ll die if I donate blood!”

Seth snorted. “Don’t try that act with me. It won’t work.”

We soon arrived at the Garners’ private hospital. Seth dragged me to the blood transfusion room and told the nurse, “Take her blood, hurry! Take as much as Ash needs!”

When the first needle plunged in, I jolted violently, and my vision began to blur.

I found myself lying weakly on the floor, and I had no idea how much time had passed. I wanted to ask a doctor for help, but I realized that I was the only person left in the blood transfusion room.

Seth had taken all the medical staff with him to take care of Ashley.

Just as I thought that I was about to die, a strong pair of arms suddenly scooped me up. “Don’t sleep! Don’t sleep, Luna!”

I opened my eyes and saw Ryan, whose eyes were red.

“I came too late.”

He took out an exquisite diamond ring and put it on my ring finger.

“Marry me, Lulu.”

That was when I realized that he had asked me to meet him at our usual meeting spot to propose. He had said that we should go through all the necessary steps, and I had agreed.

He made a call, saying, “Let’s bring the wedding forward and have it tonight.”

I was slightly surprised.

“Ashley has the wedding dress.”

Ryan laughed softly, and he looked fondly at me.

“Don’t worry. I’ve prepared everything for you.”

That night, I appeared at the hotel wearing a wedding dress that was the only one of its kind in the world.

Seth rushed to the scene, looking impatient. “Are you going to mess with me like this just because I asked you to donate blood? You’re just jealous because I was keeping Ash company. Now I’ve rushed back. Are you happy?”

As soon as he finished speaking, Ryan’s voice rang out behind him. “Seth, how could you be so rude to your aunt?”
