Chapter 4
Seth’s eyes widened at once. “What? What aunt?”
Ryan passed him while moving his wheelchair over to my side. “It’s my wedding with Lulu tonight. Didn’t you know?”
I looked down and smiled. “I told him. He just didn’t believe me.”
Seth was stunned. “How is that possible? My parents went to Wood Manor to get me a marriage alliance! I’m the one you’re supposed to marry!”
The butler said quietly, “Mr. Seth, the marriage alliance was with Mr. Ryan right from the start.”
Seth clearly did not believe the butler.
He straightened his suit and took my hand, trying to look calm. “Luna, stop these lame tricks. Let’s get the ceremony over with. Ash is waiting for me.”
I flung his hand aside instinctively, but he scoffed. “It’s our wedding night tonight, but I’m not coming back to keep you company. I promised Ash that I would go and stay with her. Don’t waste my time.”
He had said the same thing in my past life.
However, at that time, I had naively believed that he would slowly accept me as long as we got married.
That was why I had tried my best to make him stay after the wedding ended.
Harry had privately found someone to send Ashley abroad that very night.
When Seth found out, he acted nonchalant. However, that night, he had covered my eyes with red silk and sent me off to a dozen of his friends.
Now, all I felt was revulsion at the sight of him.
Ryan immediately shielded me behind him and said coldly, “Seth, I won’t argue with you because you’re my nephew. However, please have some self–respect.”
He was about to say something else, but the butler handed him an invitation. “Mr. Seth, this invitation was placed in your room much earlier, but you didn’t see it.”
