Kyson was at a loss for words.
Evangeline looked at him with darker eyes, “You must be out of
your mind, she’s Terrence’s wife! If you dare… I… I’ll definitely go
tell Jameson!”
This wasn’t a good thing, and Kyson didn’t want to make a big
deal out of it.
Evangeline pointed at him and repeated, “You can’t mess with
your friend’s wife. Terrence has treated you well, so don’t do
anything stupid!”
Kyson liked Bethany. At the end of the day, it was all his fault.
Even if Bethany and Terrence got divorced in the future, and he
wanted to be with Bethany, this relationship might still get in
the way.
He didn’t say a word and didn’t want to ask Evangeline any
more questions. Evangeline got mad at him and just turned and
left.
Terrence still had forty–eight hours of danger to get through,
but since he was in the ICU, he couldn’t see anyone even if he

wanted to, so he just had to leave for now.
On the way, Kyson kept thinking, if Terrence didn’t have any feelings for Bethany, and Bethany wanted a divorce, Terrence
should’ve been eager to sign the divorce papers.
But it seemed like Terrence never planned to get a divorce from
beginning to end.
Terrence never really showed his feelings, and from the start,
Kyson could tell that Terrence had feelings for Bethany.
So, I really couldn’t figure out what Evangeline meant, and I also
couldn’t understand why Terrence would use that kind of
violence on Bethany.
From Bethany’s attitude, she must have had a pretty rough
seven years.
As soon as he thought of Bethany, Kyson just couldn’t help but
feel sorry for her.
No woman had ever made him feel this way, and it was
something that really bothered him.

Lucian frowned, “Why do I feel like something’s off with you?
What happened?”
“Talked in person.”

Lucian looked shocked: “You said you sent Terrence’s wife
abroad, and then when Terrence called you while driving, he
even got into a car accident, shit! You really are something! I
think you must be crazy. Terrence hasn’t called you Kyson in
years, but when the accident happened, he called you Kyson.
Don’t you feel ashamed?”
Lucian kept criticizing Kyson, not knowing that years later,
things would turn around.
Kyson picked up his glass and downed it in one go.
That Kyson, how could he not have felt it.
When he heard the crash, his heart panicked too.
Two years ago, he did that on purpose. Terrence wasn’t really
mad at him, and even put the project on hold. He knew very
well that if he didn’t get involved and let Terrence handle it, the

project could quickly change the whole future of new energy
development.
He single–handedly–no, it should be because of the bond
between them–turned the tide and won a two–year breathing
space for the whole industry.
Of course, the main reason was still that Terrence didn’t wipe
them out completely.
Kyson knew all about these things.
“Feeling guilty? Regretting it? What’s the use? Can you really
take back the heart you let go?”
Lucian wasn’t too worried about Terrence. After hearing what
Kyson said, he thought Terrence would probably wake up in
less than forty–eight hours. After all, Terrence was in great
shape, his driving skills weren’t bad, and not many people could
match his ability to adapt.
In that kind of dangerous situation, he definitely avoided the
vital spots.
Kyson didn’t mention that he also stabbed Terrence, and
Terrence didn’t hold that stab against him either.
