Chapter 29
Bethany didn’t want to explain anymore.
She planned to wait for Terrence to come back from
Southmount, and then she would go back to talk to him about
the divorce.
It was extremely quiet in the car.
After a while, Bethany fell asleep.
When she woke up, Terrence was parking the car.
They arrived at the Vespera Villa.
It was late at night, already past 2 AM.
Bethany walked into the bedroom.
Terrence followed her in and went straight into the bathroom.
A minute later, the sound of water came from inside.
He was taking a shower…
Bethany sat quietly on the bed.
Chapter 29
When Terrence came out, he was only wrapped in a white
towel.
His damp hair hung down, droplets sliding down his defined
abs.
The throat bobbed as he swallowed, showing shadows on his collarbones. The Adonis belt was partly visible through the
towel. He looked sexy after the shower.
Bethany used to be deeply attracted to his sexy body.
After marriage, since they had sex for the first time, they
enjoyed happy days.
Bethany thought Terrence was very sexually active back then,
but since she got pregnant, they rarely did it.
He often traveled for business.
Terrence wiped his damp hair, approached her, and said coldly,
“What are you doing? It’s quite late. Go take a shower and then
go to bed. We have to go back to the McConnell’s manor
tomorrow.””
Bethany got up and walked into the bathroom.
She was not done, and the bathroom door was pushed open.
Terrence appeared at the door…
In the steam–filled bathroom, Bethany turned in a panic to grab
a towel from the rack.
Her wet, long hair clung to her fair nape, water droplets sliding down her collarbones toward her lower back.
Bethany turned around, clutching the towel to her collarbones.
It draped and barely covered her thighs.
Her slender legs glowed pale and radiant under the warm
yellow light.
Terrence suddenly recalled how those legs wrapped around his
waist before.
His lower abdomen tightened involuntarily.
Bethany’s almond–shaped eyes were misty, and her long
eyelashes dripped with tiny water droplets that cast faint
reflections beneath her lids. The towel edges were crumpled in
her grip, and her knuckles turned pink.
The water drizzled over her body from the showerhead and
quickly soaked the towel.
The drenched towel clung to her body, outlining the curves of

her chest.
Terrence glanced at her eyes, which turned red out of nervousness, and asked hoarsely, “Why are you covering it?”
Bethany gripped the towel tightly, unable to respond.
Terrence had changed into his pajamas and tossed the towel
into the hamper.
He turned and left the bathroom.
Bethany went to the door barefoot and locked it.
Hearing the click, Terrence frowned slightly.
The image of those fair, bare legs flashed across his mind again.
It had been over a month since they made love last time.
Terrence’s lower abdomen tightened further. He lit a cigarette
irritably and went to the balcony.
He took a deep drag.
Three more cigarettes followed.
The heat in his abdomen felt harder to suppress.
Bethany emerged in a bathrobe, revealing her pale pink calves,

which were slender and straight.
The heat in Terrence’s body surged upward again.
Leaning against the balcony doorframe, he strode back in and wrapped his arms around Bethany’s waist from behind.
His palms fit perfectly around it.
Terrence gently brushed his thin lips against her fair neck.
Bethany froze as the earthy scent of his cigarette lingered in her
nose.
By the time she reacted and tried to pull away, his kisses grew urgent, covering her skin in rapid succession.
