Bethany shook her head and signed, “Don’t tell anyone for now.”
Julio said he could fix her throat, but she didn’t want to tell
everyone before she got better.
She wasn’t that kind of person.
If something went wrong and didn’t get better, you’d be the one
feeling embarrassed.
“I guess you probably didn’t want others to know either, so I
helped you change the dressing and took off the gauze, so that if
he asked about it later, you wouldn’t have a hard time
explaining.”
Julio went to get the medicine, Bethany picked up her phone,
and there was a missed call from Kyson.
There was also Cassie’s.
Cassie also texted to check on her.
Bethany then texted Cassie back.
“I’ve arrived at Aranoland, mentor, don’t worry about me,
everything’s fine.”
She always only told the good news, not the bad.
The thing about her wanting a divorce couldn’t really be explained clearly in just a few words in the messages.
When she went back to deal with the lawsuit, she met the advisor again and told the advisor what was going on so the advisor wouldn’t worry about her.
Cassie replied to her message quickly.
“I’m glad you’re okay, that makes me feel relieved. Communicate well with Davon abroad, looking forward to
your work.”

Julio came in carrying the medicine box.
He told Bethany to turn her body and sit properly.
He put on a mask and disposable gloves, then gently took off the
gauze that was wrapped around her head two or three times.
Clipped her long hair with a hairpin, exposed the wound.
In order not to mess up her hair, during the surgery, Julio only let the assistant doctor shave off a small patch of hair.
Julio dipped a cotton swab in iodine and gently wiped it.

“Alright.” Julio helped Bethany sit up. “You can eat now.”
Julio still prepared liquid food for her. Since her throat hadn’t fully healed, she couldn’t just eat whatever she wanted.
Bethany signed, “Julio, thank you so much. If it weren’t for you, it would’ve been such a hassle for me alone.“”
“Why are you being so polite with me? You took care of me a lot when we were kids.” Julio opened the lunchbox and handed it to her. “Stop always saying thank you to me. What I’ve done is still far from enough. Come on, eat!”
Bethany was eating when her phone rang. She picked it up with one hand, saw it was Kyson calling, and handed the phone to
Julio, meaning she wanted Julio to answer it for her.
Julio gave a knowing smile.
Looks like there weren’t any secrets between Dummy and
Kyson, so that’s why he just let him answer the phone so openly.
