The next morning, Kyson contacted Terrence and found out he
was at the Gilbert’s villa, so he came over to see him.
There was just one more important thing to tell Terrence.
Terrence was still lying in bed and couldn’t move.
Kyson had just come in when Krista came in with breakfast.
“Terrence, you ate breakfast first.”
“Thanks, I wasn’t hungry, didn’t really have an appetite.”
Krista was really about to lose her temper.
She got up early on purpose and kept an eye on the kitchen,
making sure they cooked only what Terrence liked.
Why didn’t he want to eat?
‘You were sick, how could you not eat?”
Terrence pressed his lips together and said, “I really didn’t have
much of an appetite. You didn’t need to worry about me. Go do
your thing.””
Krista had no choice, so she took it out again.
Terrence hadn’t been eating much lately, just living on glucose.
After Krista went out, Kyson asked, “Why aren’t you eating?”
“Not convenient.”
“Was there anything inconvenient about eating?”
Terrence looked serious, “Why did you have to keep asking questions?”
“Alright, alright, I won’t ask anymore. If you don’t want to eat, then don’t eat. Here’s the thing, my secretary called and said all the people on the list you gave did paternity tests, and none of them matched. The database was updating every day. Can you get someone to look again?”
Terrence gave a cold laugh, “How did you have the nerve to keep bothering me?”

It seemed like I totally forgot about stabbing him, and also
forgot about sending his wife abroad.
It made him have to come find someone while injured.
Kyson raised his eyebrows, “It’s just because you’re capable, you got skills, no one else could handle this.”
Terrence spat coldly, “You’ve got some nerve.”
“If you weren’t thick–skinned enough, with a talent like you in the business world, how am I supposed to make a living? Don’t be mad at me, I just lost my temper for a second. Besides, ask yourself honestly, wasn’t it your fault?”
Terrence’s lips twitched.
“You were pretty good at gaslighting people?”
“Not arguing with you, talking business here, can you hurry up?”
Kyson still really wanted to find his little sister. It wasn’t just his mom who missed her, or his dad, or his grandpa–he missed her too.

“You might as well just give Mrs. Duarte more of a heads–up, tell
her not to get her hopes up. If she didn’t have any hope, she

“You make it sound easy. How about you try losing your own son? It’s easy to talk when it’s not happening to you.”

“If you still couldn’t find it, you wanted your mom to die with
regrets.”
Kyson pressed his lips together and said, “No way. I talked to Bethany. If I really couldn’t find my sister, when my mom was about to pass, I’d have Bethany pretend to be her for a bit. With just short contact, my mom probably wouldn’t notice.“”
“You’re just being ridiculous!” Terrence was a bit annoyed, “A mother and daughter are connected, did you think your mom wouldn’t notice?”
“Lucian told me Bethany was a lot like my little sister, and I thought so too. She had a good temper, was sweet and gentle, just not as smiley as my sister.”
