Chapter331
Cedric nodded with satisfaction. Back when they were kids, quilting was still really common. You could tell Bethany was really good at quilting. As for calligraphy, that went without saying–she was pretty skilled at that too.
She was really a nice girl, good enough for their Terrence.
Cedric praised, “I didn’t expect you could not only quilt but also do calligraphy. You’re really a great girl.”
“Yeah, really matched with our Terrence. Terrence’s calligraphy was also really good.”
Tabitha’s eyes were full of satisfaction and admiration.
Evangeline pouted. She couldn’t understand that quilting stuff anyway. She didn’t get what those old folks were thinking, but
they all seemed to like it.
A mute, did they really care that much?
Cedric sent someone to take the quilting painting to his study,
the servants got dinner ready, and the group went to the dining
room.
Tabitha specially arranged for Bethany to sit next to her, and
had Terrence sit on the other side, wanting to help them get closer as a couple.
What Terrence called a little argument could be sorted out directly tonight, which would be the best.
Kyson sat across from Bethany. He promised Bethany, If Terrence dared to mess around, he would protect her. He hoped everything would go well tonight. He would bring the person here and then take them away safely.
Terrence still hadn’t said a word to Bethany so far. It was
Tabitha who kept talking to Bethany. While they were eating, Tabitha even reminded Terrence, “Hurry up and get some food
for Beth.”
Terrence specially picked the dishes Bethany liked and put them in her bowl. Every move he made looked careful and
serious.
Krista was sitting across from them too, watching all this, and she felt like the blood in her body had gone cold.
The identity of being the second daughter of the Sharkey family became more and more of a burden for her. At home, she hardly dared to get too close to Terrence.
Chapter331
Hang in there, it was just ten days, and they would get divorced.
Bethany couldn’t talk. All night, she didn’t say anything extra
except nodding or shaking her head. It was Cedric and Tabitha
who kept asking how she was.
She didn’t turn down Terrence’s gentle service at the table in front of the old folks.
Even after dinner, Tabitha still couldn’t help bringing up their argument. She held Bethany’s hand and said seriously, “Marriage isn’t easy. Sometimes it’s normal to have some conflicts. Terrence is a bit cold, so I hope you can be more understanding. If he ever does anything that upsets you or bullies you, just tell me. I’ll definitely set him straight.”
Tabitha wanted to smooth over their “little awkwardness.”
Little did they know, that was a big fight, they were getting a divorce.
Bethany didn’t plan to hide this from the two elders. She really was going to get a divorce, so they wouldn’t be in the dark and try to push her and Terrence together.
Bethany took out her phone and typed a line: “Grandma Xu, it’s not just a small fight between him and me, we’re getting a divorce. I actually didn’t want to come tonight, but he asked Mr.
Duarte, and I didn’t want to make things hard for Mr. Duarte, so
I agreed to come. This is my first time at the Gilbert’s villa, and
it’ll be my last. Later, I’ll have Kyson bring the pearl bracelet back to return it to you.”
After typing, Bethany handed the phone to Tabitha.
