didn’t take it that seriously anymore. Earlier, Mom even
mentioned to Rebecca Lamont that the childhood engagement
didn’t count anymore, but the Lamont family said Lucian wasn’t
married yet, so just wait a bit longer–what if she turned up?
The parents really felt embarrassed to keep dragging out
Lucian’s marriage. It was best, just like Lucian said, that if
Lucian found a girlfriend and wanted to get married, this
childhood engagement wouldn’t count.
So the Lamont family meant that as long as Lucian wasn’t
married, this arranged marriage still counted.
Both families wanted to be in–laws years ago and were still
trying hard.
Terrence asked, “What if Daphne found it before you got
married?”
“First I had to struggle hard, but if my family forced me to
marry, in the end I just had no choice.”
This answer made Terrence really unhappy and feel like he was

He didn’t dare say more, since Kyson wasn’t just smart- the
more he said, the more he’d give away.
Terrence picked up the cigarette pack, took one out and handed
it to Lucian, “Couldn’t get out of the arranged marriage, must’ve
been tough on you.”
“That’s right.” Lucian took the cigarette and said to Kyson next
to him, “You gotta help me then. It’s not the old days anymore,
arranged marriages are out!”
Kyson gave Lucian a gentle push, “What are you showing off
for? When my sister was little, even when she played house, she
didn’t want to marry you. Maybe when she comes back, she’ll
want to break off the engagement herself.”
Lucian nodded with satisfaction, “That’s the best.”
Terrence also thought this was best.
Then Lucian stopped joking around, took out another
document, and said seriously, “Terrence, I have another movie
here. I think it has a lot of potential, but someone already
invested in the early stage. I want to be the sole investor for the
later promotion. Can you take a look?”

materials about the movie.
Terrence opened the file.
Kyson said, “What movie got you so into it?”
“A movie that could have broken the box office record for
domestic animated films.”
Lucian’s main job was in film and media. He had a really good
eye for investing in movies and TV shows, and they also had
their own theater chain. Over the years, he made a ton of
money.
Kyson was a bit surprised. After all, since Lucian said that, the
movie must have had a lot of potential.
Terrence didn’t expect it to be an animated movie either. He just
skimmed through the details, and with his years of instinct for
money, his gut feeling and judgment were almost the same as
Lucian’s.
He closed the file and said, “Can you let me have it?”
“Give it to you?” Lucian raised an eyebrow. “What? You want to invest in this one alone and put Krista’s name on it?”

With Davon and Cassie backing her, Bethany’s future was sure
to be limitless.
Terrence knew the animation industry pretty well. The ceiling
was really high, but hardly anyone could actually reach it.
