Chapter 19 The Peculiar Text Message
Walking down the winding, twisting corridor, Jemima was on edge, constantly looking back.
This hotel was eenly quiet. She hadn’t encountered a single staff member along the way.
The silence was unnerving
Finished
After walking for a while and sering that no one was following her, she finally relaxed a little.
Maybe she was overthinking it. If Amanda had wanted to use underhanded methods, she would have done so long ago
vas no need to act now, especially when Jemima was already voluntarily leaving her son
There
Of course. Amanda would be distressed over that compensation payment, but she knew that amount was nothing to the Stahl
Amanda wouldn’t be stupid enough to go that far.
If she walked a little farther, she would reach the lobby she had entered earlier.
Jemima took out her phone to check the time.
It was forty minutes past seven.
It was about time to contact Louis. She started typing him a message: Fre armed. I’m at…
Before she could finish the last two words, a female hotel staff member in a black uniform suddenly stepped out from a corner and bumped into her. The woman quickly apologized, “I’m sorry, so sorry.”
As she spoke, she reached out to steady Jemima.
“Its time I’m okay, you don’t—”
ore Jemima could finish her sentence, a sharp, icy pain pricked her neck. Her heart lurched. She tried to push the woman
but her vision blurred, and dizziness engulfed her.
The woman in uniform curled her lips into a strange smile.
She held Jemima up even tighter, feigning concern. “Miss, are you alright? Which suite are you staying in? Oh, over there?
let me take you back”
Without waiting for a response, the woman propped Jemima up and forcefully led her down a more secluded corridor.
“Help”
Fear gripped Jemima’s heart
Her strength was draining rapidly. She couldn’t even call out for help. Everything around her became distant and blurry, as if her soul was plummeting into a deep, dark abyss.
Someone, saten
With the last of her strength, she reached for her phone, which she had instinctively slipped into her pocket when she was bumped. She hadn’t finished typing the text message.
Her fingers moved slowly, cautiously, tapping blindly on the screen. She pressed send.
Elsewhere. Scott had just finished a client meeting and was resting in a courtyard within the hotel, his eyes closed.
After having a few drinks, he was slightly tipsy.
The night breeze swept through his hair, lifting it before letting it fall lightly against his sharp brow.

Standing nearby. Louis took out his phone. He had been expecting a message from Jemima, and when he save it was indeed from her, he smiled. But as he read further, his brows furrowed
“Mr Sterting
“What is it?” Scott responded calmly, opening his eyes.
Isis bent down and handed him the phone Tarranged to meet Ms Willis at eight tonight. She just messaged me saying she’s arrived, but the last two words seem strange. Mr. Sterling, can you take a look!
Scott was speechless,
He shot Louis a glance, blaming the latter for acting on his own, then turned his gaze to the message. Ise arrised. I’m at yup

A slight furrow appeared between his brows as he fell into a brief contemplation. Suddenly, a cold dint flashed across his
He tunediately started a video call.
Louis was startled “Mr. Sterling, you
Scott gestured for silence.
Louis was confused, but the video call connected.
On the other end, the screen was a blurry, dim orange–gray. If one listened closely, faint footsteps could be heard, the sound of shoes dragging against the ground, along with broken, hurried breaths.
“Help help…”
The desperate plea quickly turned into muffled sounds.
Something was wrong!
Scott’s expression darkened as he ended the call. “Ask the hotel if Jemima has arrived.”
Louis quickly made the call and reported back. “The front desk bags a beautiful young lady arrived around seven said she had an appointment and left a suit in storage. Based on their description, it should be Ms. Willis. After that, she disappeared.”
Scott stood
od up.
He took out his phone and made a call, his expression calm but his pace swift and determined as he strode in a certain direction
Inude the room, the lighting was dim.
Jemima was thrown onto a large bed.
Several men in only bath towels surrounded her, their gazes lewd and depraved. At the foot of the bed, a collection of horrifying “toys” was on display, including drug–filled syringes.
“N–no stay… back.”
Terror gripped her, making her tremble uncontrollably. She barely managed to prop herself up on one arm before collapsing again. Watching them approach, she could only desperately drag her powerless legs backward.
“What a beauty”
“That face and body? Absolutely top–tier.”
“Her man must really hate her. He paid us to play with her and ruin her completely. How could he bear to do that to such a beauty?”
The woman lisuised as a hotel staff member commaged through lemima’s hay and nulled out the agreement. She walked

over to the bed grabbed Jemina’s hand, and forced her to press her fingerprint on it. “Because her husband doesn’t want to
ve her a petty when they divorce. Not only should you destroy her, but you should record everything.”
Jemimas mind exploded.
she refused to believe it
Frantically, she reached for her phone. Her weak hands fumbled, dropping it multiple times. She crawled over, picked with difficulty, and dialed his number
She had to ask him herself
As she pulled out her phone someone attempted to snatch it away However, the woman holding her agreement intervened “Let her make the call.”
When the call was made. Julius declined the call.
The second time, he declined again.
On the third try the call finally connected, but the voice that came through wasn’t his. It was Nadine. Julius doesn’t want to
She giggled. “So do you like the men we’ve arranged for you? Here’s a little secret: not only are they perverted, but one of
coded them has AIDS We’ll also give you a linle drug to spice things up. By tomorrow, your scandalous night with eight men will be all over the internet. Your parents, your friends–everyone will know you’re nothing but trash.
She continued. “Oh, and to celebrate, Julius and I will announce our engagement tomorrow night. You won’t get a single ce and you’ll be spat on Even if you try to report this, it won’t matter. In Yhuwell, our families can crush you like an ant. Youll never win. How does it feel I stole your man, your job, and I’ll even destroy you. But guess what? I’ll still live a happy loving life with Julius. And you? You can only die in agony. Hahaha…
Nadine laughed arrogantly on the other end.
Jemima’s phone slipped from her grasp.
Raging hatred ripped through her chest like icy blades, shattering her heart.
Yet she didn’t feel the pain nor did she want to cry. All she wanted was to survive no matter what. Even if she died and became a ghost, she would kill them all!
“Let’s begin. Have fun, and don’t hold back.” The woman at the foot of the bed turned on the camera.
Eight monsters closed in.
“Get away
Jemima clutched a pillow, but she didn’t even have the strength to throw it.
Her hands were tied to the bedpost, her legs pinned down. Countless hands reached for her, tearing at her clothes
A grotesque, obese man climbed onto the bed, holding a syringe with a twisted grin.
As he aimed it at her thigh, she shut her eyes and bit down on her tongue with all her strength.
At the door, the sound of a key turning in the lock was heard.
