Scott then headed out with Jemima and Zander following behind him.
Their car departed from the hotel, heading toward Harborside Marina.
Inside, it was very quiet.
Jemima was seated in the back, her body all tensed up. She wanted to relax, but the sudden memory of the kiss kept her on edge

He patted Scott’s arm. His face, lined with wrinkles, wore a vibrant smile.
However, the enthusiasm he showed made one’s hair stand on end.
Upon entering, they were greeted by about a dozen people, all of whom were the local elites and wealthy individuals.

Jemima and Zander didn’t go inside. They waited on the deck, but through the expansive floor–to–ceiling glass, they could see what was happening within.
